Yeah, I chose it because I couldn't see why I shouldn't do it. My parents would ask me for sure "why not" if I had chose not to be confirmed.
By the way it's not like I have lost anything from doing it, so I did it and I don't feel any closer to God, but we had some pretty fun lessons about Jesus.

i got confirmed, but i dont believe in christianity, i was made to by my parents. Eventually they stopped making me go to church
personally i agree with hudson, the people at catholic churches are like mindless robots. they chant, get on their knees and do the whole worship thing ("oh god we worship you, we cant do anything without prayer") . i cant see a god that would require his followers to worship him all the time. If Catholicism was once true, i believe it has been heavily distorted since then.
If you look at the behavior of Catholics from a completely non-religious point of view, it just seems kind of rediculous all the rituals that go on. It really is like a cult.
