arg help!!!

It's like everything refreshes.. in the screen shot you see it in the upper right hand corner my knife, glock, scout, and ammo.. it does that then I like warp.. I have a Radeon 9200 GFX card.

I'm talking a friend and he gets the same thing, he said he thinks its wireless internet but he said he wasn't sure then I asked what kind of wireless he has and he has netgear like me.. only difference is he has a USB attena and I have a card.

Any help on how to fix this would be greatly appreciated

i dont quite understand what your asking....but from what you said it seems like your talking about lag.

I have seen the weapon icons pop up before like your picture showed but no lag came after. Not sure.

yeah, that happens when you get a large lag spike (fps-wise or connection-wise)


If I remember right it's something having to do with the server sending you an update packet (when they usually just send out snapshots to the client)


aha! found it on the source multiplayer networking wiki

"Game data is compressed using delta compression to reduce network load. That means the server doesn't send a full world snapshot each time, but rather only changes (a delta snapshot) that happened since the last acknowledged update. With each packet sent between the client and server, acknowledge numbers are attached to keep track of their data flow. Usually full (non-delta) snapshots are only sent when a game starts or a client suffers from heavy packet loss for a couple of seconds. Clients can request a full snapshot manually with the cl_fullupdate command."

So it does sound like your wireless. :/

yep seagull has it, i got that all the time when i used wireless ....get a wire if possible, or lower all your settings even thou your computer can handle the best video settings your wireless cannot
