ARhrrrr is an augmented reality shooter for mobile camera-phones, created at Georgia Tech Augmented Environments Lab and the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD-Atlanta). The phone provides a window into a 3d town overrun with zombies. Point the camera at our special game map to mix virtual and real world content.

pretty neat, but gimmicky

Wow, thats pretty cool. It'd be really cool if it were an FPS and you could simulate a zombie invasion in your own neighborhood. I'm surprised the zombies and civilians moved around different obstacles instead of getting caught on them. Graphics and animations need a lot of work, but its pretty cool.

Looks pretty damn nifty. Tegra is such an awesome platform. I can't wait for it to become mainstream.

What a waste of money, if only they could find another purpose for this technology besides making retarded games maybe I'd say something nice. This stuff is garbage.

so if they used say a centerfold page ripped out of a playboy magazine, you wouldnt drive a little cock car around her mountainous regions and into the dark tunnel? come on man! think outside the box (or inside the box in this case :naughty: )

These special maps and interactions remind me of Eye of Judgment and EyePet and such. The camera shows things that are not there IRL and you can interact with them. I am not so excited about it yet...but I have a feeling once I get an EyePet of my own I will not want to ever be without one!!

Your right! Now, please hand over your computer to aid in scientific research.

I don't really see the point of a handheld game platform that you need a big mat thing to use. Unless you look at people on the train with it and blast chunks of their faces off, then it would be a pretty awesome idea.

It does look interesting, and the technology is pretty nifty indeed. Though, they need a few more games than just this one to sell me into buying the system.

Pretty cool, but it'll get boring fast. When I first heard of this I thought it meant it took something from like google maps and turned it into a zombie-filled town for you to fight through. That'd be awesome.
