artifacts

i have very few artifacts i have 9600 pro not OC'ed and in that new hl2 video i get like a artifact every here and there.... how come when i play like doom 3 or uk2003 i dont get any but that video gets them? is this going to mean bad things for hl2?

Sounds more like its a problem playing the movie, not overheating. Tried running it through RadTools with another renderer?

Thats odd...Its not OC'ed at all and you're getting artifacts. I have no idea dude.

What kind of artifacts? becuase the bink video is not really rendering anything in 3d so it probobly has nothing to do with your vidcard.

well the screen gets kinda splitty once in awhile not a huge problem u kinda have to look for it... infact my friend pointed it out to me.... i know what they where but never really saw them on my comp b4 ... so i came here to see what u think... it get splitty near the top a few times in that new video... unreal03 works with out them why is this?

Well, it might be tearing. This happens when you don't have VSync enabled.

If it really is artifacting, check your computers temperatures...
