Assassins Creed 2 E3

That was awesome. One of the best trailers i have seen in a long time.3:14 LOL

Great trailer. Just remember to add the 'fun' Ubi.

Hope it's as awesome as the first. And then some!
Gotta love the lines "CATCH HEEM, RIP HEEM APART!"

Oh my god. They just Sony just showed the in game footage. OH MY GOD.

It looks like they addressed every major problem with the first in a profound way.

How? It looks like a copy-paste of the first game with Italian art direction.

It can't play worse than the first game - uninspired crock of shite that it was. It still looks stunning, though.

I think you guys are nuts. The problem with the first game was repetition. It was a great concept, but let down by the lack of options (which is my gripe with AC1). This looks like that is being addressed. Thirty weapons instead of just having a sword. Plus look at all the new options in combat... different attacks... smoke bombs... a god damn flying machine... civilians do more than walk around aimlessly or watch people talk. You can swim. It's totally overhauled.

When I looked at Assassins Creed 1, I saw it for what it was: an awesome proof of concept. A (solid) layer of foundation that simply lacked content. The game was a 6 or 7 out of 10. No arguments there. But now they can build upon that foundation and I think we will end up with an awesome game.

Probably the announcement I enjoyed the most thus far in E3, right up there with some news about conviction.

The gun part of the trailer was awesome. Going to see if I can find gameplay from the sequel.

They've sorted out the repetition for this game. It's done away with the mission structure from the previous game completely, so you no longer have to complete a set number of arbitrary side quests in order to "unlock" the assassination. Instead all the intel you need to gather is a procedural part of the overall assassination. It seems they've learned linearity is far better than forced expanse.

Looked like a movie. Was convinced I was just watching a bunch of actors during the dancing part. Wow

I agree with Top Secret. AC1 was a great concept but had problems that prevented it from being glorious, many of which are being changed for the second one.

still not gonna breach the 85% with most magazines/websites.

The core mechanics are still the same from what I see. It parades itself as an assassination game but all you do is run up to the target, press whatever button is assigned to 'kill' and then it's over. Then you just run away. I'd like to be able to infiltrate without being noticed. kill the target, and slip out.

I'll wait for EG's preview/review. They nailed it with AC1.

Gameplay video was AWESOME. I never got AC1, I got put off by reviews but I thought the same thing about AC1 when I saw the first videos. I'll wait for reputable reviews first.

Get it now. Steam sale is awesome. Even if not that great a game its with the $10 for sure.

looks awesome, but im not sure if i that hes telling the truth that the game is big. I live an hour from Venice, and i can tell you that its not that big, especially since i have strolled drunk as hell with friends from one end to another without any kind of orientation with no problem within 30 minutes, and considering that the player can run and jump buildings...shouldn't take less than a few minutes lol.
It looks very realistic tho, there were a few times were i could pause the video and point exactly to where i have been.

Well it is 1400s venice. Though then I'd think its smaller XD

I went to Venice on vacation once. It was beautiful, and the canal system and architecture were a nice change of scenery.

Looks alright, but still seems like besides a few set points in the game it'll be much of the same.

I'll rent it

The cinematic trailer was okay.

Didn't watch the gameplay yet.

I have to say, this looks much better than AC1. I personally think the ability to steal you're enemys weapon and use it against him is riddiculusly awsome, but thats just me.
