I'm not sure.

I'd actually prefer a more linear mission structure, but with option to approach each task in a variety of ways. Like Thief, but more so.

ya I'd like different ways of assassinating someone without having to perform pre-determined tasks ..like in Oblivion: if I wanted to assasinate someone in broad daylight ..I'd just zap them with Frenzy; they'd attack me and then the guards would run to my rescue ..they're dead and I didnt have to do much except watch

During the IDEF 2006-meeting Ubisoft confirmed that Assasin's Creed is on its way to the PC. The game was first announed to be released to the Playstation 3 and will also be released to the Xbox 360. So all the next-gen consoles will take a part of Ubisoft's assasin Altaïr.

If you've been in to the latest for a while, you might remember the leaked release list from Ubisoft (will write about it below this paragraph). In other words, everything on the list has been true thus far. According to the list Assasin's Creed will be released during March 2007. The only thing that hasn't been announced yet is the listed version that's supposed to be released to the Wii... Now on to the leaked list.


Ubisoft's plans revealed. (leaked March 2006, thus the act of being surprised by some of the info)

A list of Ubisoft's coming games for the next 12 months got by mistake to american Gamepro. There were several surprises like Rayman 4 for handhelds, Playstation 2 and 3, Wii and the Xbox360. And a whole new Tom Clancy-game called Firehawk for the next-gen consoles.

Ubisoft are saying that the list is false, though they went after american gamingsites and forums all morning to stop them from showing the list or talking about it. That should speak for itself.

Of course it'll come to the 360, but likely not until after its release on the PS3. Ubisoft is not one to miss out on a hugely great game going multiplatform.

Everyone knows this is a PC game and has been for a while. Whether or not a console port is in the works is anybody's guess, but the website mentions nothing of consoles, nor has any news about it of late. I would take this list with a big grain of salt.

That doesn't change the fact that the only announced platform has always been the PC. It might not surprise me, but it would certainly seem that if this list is to be taken seriously, then perhaps it would have at least mentioned it for the PC alongside the PS3 and 360, right?

It's not decided if it's coming to the consoles. It's already been decided that it is coming to PC, and that is pretty obvious.

Note how this at least lists DMoMM as a PC title too. The first list is crap and this one probably is too for all we know. Well, reportedly, the list was leaked, so that means it wasn't an officially announced release schedule, but an internal list, and even if it wasn't, they still would owe no explanation for the way they decided to list things.


Look at this:

- November 2006: Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter (PS3)

As you can see in the list from the OP, they didn't list Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter (GRAW) for Xbox 360, and that game wasn't released for 360 until March.

So it makes sense to me. It's a list of early and future projects, not a list of games to be released soon or games already out. Blazing Angles already came out for PC, for example, which is why it isn't listed there as a PC title. GRAW was to be released the month of the list for 360, which is why it wasn't listed there as a 360 title.

In fact, the list is entitled:
