Keep in mind, they have said NOTHING about the benchmark being delayed (4 days left). I have seen nothing on the big review sites, if the benchmark was delayed they should have been given notice about just that, just like game sites have been given notice that HL2 the game is delayed.

There is nothing at the Tokyo show. It's an 1:1 copy of the E3 show.

But there are 2 E3 Videos missing - the buggy and the strider video. Only available in shaky-cam format. They should release them in direct-feed Bink format now.

i really don't think a demo will arrive on the 30th guys. i just can't see valve doing that. i mean they want to keep the story and game under wraps so it will be gr8 experience when you have the game.

and if it was just the tech demo, i know good modders out there will mess around with it and maybe spoil it for us.

If they only released the Tech Demo how could someone use it to spoil the game for you?

They would have to recreate maps, textures, & map models that they haven't even seen yet and model, skin, & animate any characters that are not part of the Tech Demo.

CVG messed them up. First, the converted it to DivX with way too low bitrate and second they shortened the videos very much. So NO, the 1024 res Bink versions of the buggy and the Strider video are still missing.

And to the other point: Did the Q3Test spoil Q3A for you? Or the other id Testdemos? No, they just heated up the hype.

Brainless. Making an installable, stable demo for the public (who have much more stringent needs than the team) is obviously going to take up a serious amount of time for the team (at least a week). The question is, would you rather HL2 was a week later, with a techdemo, or would you rather wait for the actual game?

Well, the way I see it, the Q3test, and the Wolfenstein and SOF2 demos kept me plenty happy for ~ 6 weeks each....it would DEFINITELY ease the recent pain and imho WOULD hype the game that much more.

As I stated, just my opinion, but based upon prior experience during long wait times...
