So, as bad as /b/ is, content wise, this is sorta messed up. I mean.... 4chan is available, but /b/ and /r9k/ are not. Apparently, there's a shitstorm going on.

Thoughts?

inb4 "Good", "i'm glad", etc.

Also, so glad I don't use AT&T. :D

About time there was some good things happening in the world.

A retarded name for a forum on 4chan.

Just go there and click on 'random' if you want to see it, though it's banned for a reason so...

It's nothing you need to know about. Move along, there's nothing to see here.

Ha, one of the OPs from the IRC is no longer able to view it. He's freaking out. :p

I don't care what yous say, /b/ is funny shit.

Is this AT&T's internet service, or their phone service?

Also, do you have legitimate sources?

Gee, I wonder if hokey pokey visits 4chan?

I can see some shit being stirred by anon over this. Its going to be the Scientology protests times twenty. I hope AT&T prepared itself for this shitfest they've brought on themselves. No doubt anon will be committing personal attacks on high ranking employees and possibly attacking low level ones at local AT&T stores.

Yeah, sorry for not sourcing.

I don't give a rat's ass about 4chan, but no site should be blocked as long as it is a legitimate non illegal site. And 4chan as terrible as it is, is not illegal.

They have either given none or said that their is no problem with the internet, and that they are not purposefully blocking img.4chan.org

HAHAHA

Because someone was claiming that 880,000+ connection attempts (a denial of service / spam attack) were being made to their server originating from img.4chan.org. He suggested that At&T was blocking it for this reason.

If this is just a censorship block, then I will fight it, even though I don't use At&t or 4chan.

"First they came for the pedophiles, and I did not speak out, because I was not a pedophile.

Then, they came for the pirates, and I did not speak out because I was not a pirate.

Then they came for anonymous, and I did not speak out because I was not anonymous.

Then they came for me, and there was no one left to speak out for me."

Fixed.

That's like going to the library and finding that someone blacked out all pictures of nudity in fine art and anatomy books because some 40 year old uses the pictures to jerk off.

I don't believe it yo.

They'd be stupid to think that they can decrease load on their infrastructure by.... cutting off their users from ... using the internet.

I will be checking the latest from www.savetheinternet.com
coalition of more than a million everyday people who have banded together with thousands of non-profit organizations, businesses and bloggers to protect Internet freedom.

Change your avatar back. D;

LOL at comparing the garbage posted at 4chan with fine art and anatomy books.

lol'd

let's stay on topic!

If this is concerning censorship than this is important. It could be the beginning of the end... forever changing the internet.

All you hear in the IRC is "Lets DDOS them.".

It's like trying to damage the ocean with water.

You're not missing much (inb4 darkseed rant).
No matter where it is, censorship is still censorship. I've written to congress about net neutrality campaigns before when it didn't "hit home"; even if it's somewhere you don't care about it's still important that it's available to those who want to see it.

/b/ might be a sea of piss, but some people still want to swim in it. No one should have any right to block that.

And anyway, whenever /b/ goes down, its users migrate. It'll start on other boards on 4chan at first...then they'll head to other chans...and pretty soon they'll leak out elsewhere onto the internet. At least when /b/ is around they're contained.

Hey I'm not saying I agree with it at all. It's just everyone (thanks V-man) blows /b/ to be this massive disgusting entity that eats children and conquers worlds, when most really have never been there themselves. There's this stigma around GASP /b/ as if anything involving it will make you rip your eyes out, and frankly I'm tired of it. /b/ is to contemporary internet users what black men were to 1920s American housewives.

You're good people, Viper. I'm proud to call you a friend on this forum.

Yeah, its really lame nowadays.

I laughed at the people in the first page who thought Escape's question was serious.

But yeah, this is a blow to both free speech and net neutrality. Plus, fags won't let them get away with this anyway, it's just a matter of time.
