To prevent this attack from disrupting service for the impacted AT&T customer(s), and to prevent the attack from spreading to impact our other customers, AT&T temporarily blocked access to the IP addresses in question for our customers. This action was in no way related to the content at img.4chan.org; our focus was on protecting our customers from malicious traffic.

Overnight Sunday, after we determined the denial-of-service threat no longer existed, AT&T removed the block on the IP addresses in question. We will continue to monitor for denial-of-service activity and any malicious traffic to protect our customers.

The history of /b/ may not be quite as relevant to me as it is to the rest of you regulars, as I've only recently discovered it's horrors--but I still find it a funny place to browse when you feel like trolling for kicks or enjoying just how batshit crazy the majority of the netnerd generation can be when all inhibitions are lost and witnessing what kinds of threads stay bumped.

Yes, it's occasionally hilarious. Yes, it's cultural important. But I can sure as hell see why someone might occasionally need to take a break from it--it's mostly a shit show over there, until you acquaint yourself enough to find the rare specs of brilliance.
