1024x768 for me, in 32 bit Color quality.

it depends some games run slow with high resoulution but im going fo 800x600

1600x1200 since it's my LCD's native resolution.

as high as possible...:p

minimum:1024x768

maximum:whatever my OC'd GT can pull off

my monitor maxes out at 2048x1536..

ran CS:S at that with everything all the way up except AAx2 AF x4(on my own server) and got like 20-30 fps...

but when I shot...well it dropped considerably, but just moving around didn't make it too much worse

Hopefully, I'll see if I can run it at 1600x1200 and sacrifiice a few graphical options that I don't give a damn about (32-bit colour, Trilinear, etc....).

I will start at 1280x1024 with 4xAA and 8xAF. I will tweak up and down from there... hopefully I can run 1600x1200 with AA/AF on my 21" monitor :)

800x600 on medium settings, as it's the best quality I can get and still maintain 30fps (which I can tolerate).

1024x768 here.... its all i can play a FPS at, anything higher feels wrong.... will have 6xAA, 16xAF and everything else maxed though... with those settings i got 71.22fps in CS:S VST, on a 9800pro.... im hoping that its indicative of how my PC will run HL2 :D Else no AA/AF... and i deal with however it runs.

Until I get my new monitor, I'll be playing all my games, like I always have, at 1024x768, but once I do, I might, depending on the image quality vs. performance hit ratio, bump it up higher.

1600x1200 AAx2AFx4 with all settings at max.

At least that works for me on CS:S..hopefully it will work with HL2.

stress test : 110 fps @ 1600x1200 FSAA 2x aniso 4x

64 3200+ @ 3380 Mhz
6800GT @ 420 Mhz

1024x768, 32-bit color. all settings jacked up :) (no aa/af though)

Bah, my monitor doesnt support anything higher than 1024x768, so I guess Ill have to stick with that.

1024x768 32-bit colour
all settings maxed.

16x AF,
And depending on what kind of hit I get with AA, 2x or 4x.

Id love to go higher, and could, but Id have to push the AA or AF down a notch which I don't like.

1280 x 1024, simply because that's how the game is meant to be played in my book :D

800X600, i was experimenting with source and found that this boosted me 10-15 fps over 1024, definately worth the sacrifice...

also, bare minimum EVERYTHING but texture quality, which will be maxed. wish i could have cool shiny effects and bumpmapping, but my poor 'ol 9100 can't handle it.

1024 x 768, I hope, its my laptops native resolution, if it doesnt run well enough, I will run it at 800 x 600. So lets cross our fingers! :D

I wonder what kind of computer you would require to run Half-Life 2 at 1792x1344, 32-bit colour, Full detail on everything such as textures, characters and environment, have Anistropic filtering to the max, Anit-Aliasing to the max and still get 60+ framerates.

You can do that already, except for the 60+ fps

Mabye when the next gen cards hit.

1280x960 (Proper 4:3 aspect ratio) 32bit, max AF, some AA (2 or 4x AA)
max quality otherwise. all game options maxed.

any modern computer, with an X800XTPE, or a 6800 Ultra should be able to do that.

1600x1200 32bit - Full AA/AF - Full to High Details.

1152 by 864 pixels if i can... otherwise 1024 .. always 32bit

1024 by 768 pixels
