ati 9600 radeon pro woes

ok, so i have this card. recently, i got frame tearing with brothers in arms after diasbling vpu error, because i was getting a lot on a certain levle. aftyer this, the catalyst control center dissappeared, and i slow started getting frame tearing with hl2, as well as really really ugly textures far away that get better as you get closer (i know most games do this, but it was never so extreme with hl2) and nothin seems to have happened to republic commando. i reinstalled everything having to do with my video card, then updated to the brand new 5.4 drivers, and it's still texture hell with fram tearing. any one know what the hell i can do?

IDK whats wrong maybe its ur game settings I have a 9800 xt pro and it does just fine

I had problems after installing my card for the first time, and it was all down to the motherboard drivers being the ones provided by Microsoft. Install the drivers from your mobo CD or download them. Could help. If not, then send the card back
