Seeing Hl2 is nearing, it'd be great if some of you could answer some of these noob questions ;\
I have the default catalyst's for my 9600 SE, therefore dl'ed the 4.11 Catalysts. I uninstalled the old defaults, and went through the installation for the 4.11's. I got 2 errors;
"INF error
Video driver not found."

"Setup was unable to complete the installation.
Try to setup your display adapter with a standard VGA
driver before running setup."
After that, I just said screw it, and system restore back to my defaults. I got no problem with them, and get like 50-100 fps on Cs:S.. but many people claim to have 10fps boost etc. from drivers. Just anyone know what's wrong, though?
Also, when I install the 4in1 VIA drivers, AGP Texture Acceleration then enables.. But when I enter ANY game, after bout 10 seconds of playing it'll put my monitor on standby claiming 'Input not supported', making me have to hard reboot. That REALLY sucks, so anyone got an answer?
Sorry for the sucky questions, but I want Hl2 to run to the max if possible ;(

AMD Athlon 64 3.1GHz
768Mb RAM ~ DDR, PC2700 - I think 2700..
Sapphire Radeon 9600 Atlantis SE.
