I just pulled this from another forum. I don't have the ATI voucher, I already got silver but some of my family members went the ATI card route. This is regarding hard copy (non steam) for ATI voucher holders, check it out, this sounds really, really weak IMO. Let me know what you think, I'd be very angry if I had went this route.

"Well, i just wanted to pass on the information. I contacted ATI and they gave me a phone number to call that is handling the promotion for the free copy of HL2. The number is 1-866-223-4955. Give them your name and they will id you by your address. Turns out there are 2 other people with my exact name that are also getting a copy, my name isn't that common either. Anyway, they told me that our copies will be mailed out the day it hits store shelves and will not have a box , just a cd in an envelope The real bummer is that Counterstrike:source will not be included, just the HL2 game, so looks like i will be using steam to get counterstike:source. How much does steam charge to download the counterstrike source game?"

glad I used steam. anyone know the validity of this ?

Whilst he won't get a box, he can get CS:S for "free" once HL2 is unlocked.

His CD will come with a CD key. I'm sure if he puts that into steam he'll get the bronze package. He'll just have to download CSS seperatly.

Man that all sounds real poor. Im glad I stuck with Nvidia :naughty:

No surprise really.

The voucher itself costs the ATI video card vendor $10. ATI is charging the end-user an additional $10. Did they really expect a full boxed copy with along with a second CD-key?

It's simply a bundle copy included with a video card. Look at Doom 3 bundled with some 6800 cards - it's nothing fancy.
