I had the same problem with audio skipping that everyone is trouble with, but I have found a solution that has worked for me and my Friends. In the cfg file there is a value called mixahead which has a default of .1. Following instructions from another post I increase that value from .1 to .5 in .05 increments. Testing them by playing the G-man intro from insertion point, which always skips at the same points. @ the .5 value the skips have stopped 100%. My neighbor only needed to go to .35 so it varies from computer to computer. I have and Audigy 2 and I made sure that the windows audio settings were set to head phones alone with the creative mixer settings and the in game settings and that CMSS was turned offed. Will test my 5.1 promedias after my roomate wakes up. -dg
