Anyone heard it yet? It's called "Be Yourself", and I honestly think it's the best song they've written up this point. :) It isn't a hard rocker, but a lot more mellow and laid back; and it's nice to see them shed any and all trace of RATM and Soundgarden from their sound (except the solo, but you soon forget it's even Tom Morello doing it).

You can hear it on the audioslave website, but I heard it on the winamp website. it's just good easy-to-listen-to rock music really, no bells and whistles. :)

its got more of a soundgarden trace, but i honestly miss the old audioslave.. :P

anyways in this one interview i read, they told the magazine it was going to be more heavy then their old stuff.. to my recollection, that is.

haha, audioslave always sounds exactly like Rage until cornell comes in.

That's funny considering he's the only one that wasn't previously in RATM, right?

Here's an audio interview with Cornell, like most of the grunge era people he's a pretty cool guy:

Scroll to the bottom, above the Mercedes ad. There are also some pics of him further up.

It's...boring. I'll probably get into at a later date, but that's my first impression.

Yeah its definately not as exciting as their other songs but its still good nontheless

Exactly what I was thinking. I have their old album, and I dig it. I'll most likely get this one too :D

Just listened to Be Yourself. It's a pretty good song, nice vocal melody, but the chorus isn't so great but it's still decent.

there was this another song called 'give' that was unreleased previously. I dled it and it sounded good :P

:dozey: It's okay. I like the guitar scheme though.
