So...its that time of year. Summer is officially over, day and night are of equal length and the air is distinctly cooler as the winds are now coming from the north.

Anyone else excited? I know a lot of people feel we haven't had much of a summer, but most of my memories from the summer are of either very nice sunny days or extreme rain, and humidity. Now, I rather enjoyed it all because it was quite dramatic....

Anyway, I'm looking forward to the cooler days, the autmn colours and eventually the winter fun.

Not only that, but I've had Christmas in the back of my mind for a while now. Not necessarily thinking aobut it, but its always been there. I've found that when I begin to get Christmas in my head so early it turns out to be a really great year. In fact, I've even decided I'm going to make it as good as possible by surprising everyone with preparations. I'm buying boxes of chocolates, some extra decorations, crackers and all that.

So yeah....fun times ahead it seems. :D

:( I miss summer! Don't leave!!! Oh BTW... today, it was hot as hell. History class I had today, BAM my teacher is ****IN FINE! She wears this pink skirt whatever think about ashlee simpson skirts, those ones. Red shirt some sandels, man she is ****ing rockin', 25 year old hottie! She has like three noticeable Tattoo's... upper left shoulder in the back has some snail type one, an ankle tattoo, and one on her side arm. She has like 8 piercings, mostly on her ears... but she has one on her nose, her tongue, best of all she showed us her BELLY RING! That's right BELLY RING!! Man she has a nice belly, nice tits, nice ass... oh man, today was last day of summer right? She even said she'd go surfing with students if she has time, we have to earn to get her number, she is ****ing RAD!

Sounds nice ailevation.

I can't wait until Winter! I love the snow. We only got 20 inches last year. Hoping for more like the 50 we got the year before.

Hmmmm so my play of tilting the earth is working . MUahahahahahahahhahaha

I cant wait for snow.

I like the cold weather, but did it have to be rain?
Damnit, I was hoping for some snow, but over here, in the province of British Columbia, it's raining. After I'm done my workout, I have to go home from being sweaty to extremely wet.

I fecking love Autumn, I can wear my mittens and duffle coat (cos it gets cold enough at nights), the smell of burning leaves/other stuff fills the air (that is such a beautiful smell, especially when the rest of the day has been great and that scent hits you) and everything looks pretty (leaves on the ground that are such vivid colours and lovely sunsets).

My favourite season by far, with winter coming a close second.

When it gets cooler it reminds me that ghost hunting season is about to starts. Muahaha funny thing about ghosts is that most of them have candy for blood.

I love the summer.
I dont like rain
We dont get snow
The cold sucks.
It makes my fingers hurt
And my nose sore
And my ears.

Meh. Every season except summer = constant rain. :(

Where abouts in Manchester do you live? I suppose since I like pretty much all weather I wouldn't notice, but still it doesn't seem to always rain round here. In fact, during the winter we get some of the most crips sunny days I can think of.

Well, it's been pretty much raining all week where I am (which would be the south of manchester, in Sale). I've also been travelling up to Salford quite a bit this week, and it's been raining there as well. :( I guess with all that sunshine we got over the Summer, we had to pay our dues at some point.

I wish I could say its cooler here...I HATE hot weather, winter > summer

We're just coming out of a particularly wet winter over here. Can't say I'll miss it :)

Didnt they say HL2 was definitely coming out before summer ended? Hmmm, seems to be Autumn now! I wonder who these guys will be voting for come Nov..... looks in Kerry's direction.

Wtf are you talking about?

This is a bloody thread about autumn and you found a way to politicize it. Unbelievable.

winter started here about 4 days ago.

it just suddenly changed, the day before it started was hot as summer, than BAM, rain outta nowhere and instantyly, no buildup, and then winter.

What are your temps? Still in the upper seventies here, although it was brisk Monday morning. Good stuff.

We are probably going to get a good soaking from Jeanne.

Me? Politicize it?

I think you are confusing me for someone else :rolling: :rolling:

Ahhhahaha... I was looking through the thread list, and saw this thread, and saw that "seinfeldrules" had made the last post. I clicked on the thread thinking "I wonder if he said something stupid about Kerry?", knowing full well what the thread is [supposed to be] about...

Damn dude, you are notorious.

...notoriously predictable.

/ontopic:

It's really nice here (Shreveport, LA) in the morning until about 1 or 2 in the afternoon, and then it gets really hot and nasty.

Temps are around 70-75 in the morning and evening and 85 or so in the afternoon.

It's 14 c (57 F) where I am in England and it's only going to get colder. Can't wait for things to start freezing over...

England= no snow ever. + mid days is warm and the morning and late afternoon are very cold. So i have to change 3 times a day :\

So, soon we'll get 2 meters of snow and -40 degrees.

Can't wait.

Indeed, Autumn is a great time of the year. Though, it's sad it only lasts for such a short period. I could spend countless days and nights listening to the sound of the leaves rustling in the wind. There is just something about the Fall/Autumn weather that always puts me in a good mood.

You crazy southerners :P

Where I live we usaually get snow...ok, so the last few yers it hasn't been much. A foot or so spread out over a week or so, and then on and off either side of that. Its also cold all day long...

Snow? In Manchester?

Not since around 1996 maybe. :P Like one day of snow a year, and it's about 1 cm thick. And it dissapears by midday. :)

autumn is my favorite season. i love the weather change.

Yeah, winter! Can't wait for the 30cm+ of snow and then shoveling the shit outta it. And riding my motorcycle is fun as hell in -20C and an icy road. Those are the times when I won't miss summer.

Oh and the 6 hours of sunlight per day.

I'm not really going get on my bike when it's winter.

I live near the coast of the Baltic Sea in southern Finland. So it's not that much of a winter. Atleast it hasn't been so cold and snowy for a couple years. But it's fun when the sea freezes over and you can drive a car on ice.

And for the 30cm of snow... I haven't never really measured it and 30cm is actually quite little. So it's probably more. But if you go about 200-400 km north you'll get snow up to your ass.

Hey Sparrowman, I live in Urmston/Flixton :) Sounds like you're in Glossop or thereabouts.

I think this summer has been brilliant. Tons of really hot days (which I hate btw, damn you ginger hair and blue eyes with fair skin combo!), some really nice big thick chunky downpours and lightning, and lots of loovley ladehs wearing skimpy tops.

Well, watch out for me soon when I get my Audi TT, I'll be blasting around the Snake Pass a few times to try it out :D

I went through Stalybridge last week, on the way to Dukinfield to see my pa. That's nice isn't it? :)

I hate summer (exept if I'm on holidays else where)
I love snow, I love skiing, my fav season of the year.
To bad I'm in Mexico this year... No skiing this season .

Astley Street, go up the hill (away from Ashton) and then 3rd street on the right (I think :/)
