.avi playback in WMP?

I don't want to install any other media players in my computer right now since it makes my videos pink/blue. I'm trying to play a .avi movie in WMP but I'm missing the codec and I can'r find anything on Google.

AVI files are teh suck.

VLC Media Player is a good media player, think you have tried that already, seem to remember something about that from another thread. Just to let you know that I'm also experiencing random pink videos. I'll see if i can find out some into and report back..
