On another forum they do awards that start December 1st of that year. A week/2 before you can nominate people for the awards.
Do do awards like,
"Best serious discussion poster"
"Most intelligent poster"
"Best overall poster"
"Most imporved poster"
"Most missed poster"
"Most likely to be banned"
"Best Moderator"
"Most creative poster"
"Best Senior Staff"

and a bunch more. I was thinking we should do something like that. You nominate someone for a specific subject, then a week later nominations end and you the polls start. The nominations consist of no actual discussion, you just type someones name in and they are entered.

I definitely think that this is a good idea, though. Anyone care to step up to handle it? I nominate the fellow that did the "Halflife2.net's Top 100 Games of All Time"

Every now and then somebody with 3000 posts shows up, and I have absolutely no idea who they are.
