Awesome Prince of Persia 3 (WT) screenshot. Fake? I hope not.

I know it's a scan. I posted one earlier and nobody had done anything about it.
Edit: Actually, at the risk of getting in trouble. I will remove it.

wow, snap! is that the prince with the chain? that looks damn fine, i really like the new, darker prince of persia, that screen certainly does impress, just wonder if that's PS2 or Xbox

It's going to be on the current consoles and PC. I believe that is the prince.
niceness, the prince with a chain = awesome, hopefully it plays a part in the puzzles as well, would really open up the game environment even more

There's some contraversy going on with the fans. Appearently, Zapages and some other jerks are trying to make their voices heard despite the fact that the majority of people who played the games actually like the new style. These guys don't even get their facts straight. This new Prince of Persia game will be really awesome.
If not, Zapages will get what he wants and I'm turning my faith over to Ninja Gaiden.

i'm definitely on the boat for the new style, the first game was fun, but the prince looked gay, and the new combat system is nice and goes along with the darker style, besides, why would he go back to being nice and happy after what happened, though i didn;t beat POP2, so i dunno the ending

Prince of Persia 3 (WT) is a direct sequel. Anyways, I'll try to do my best to keep everyone here posted. I could probably answer most of everyone's questions.

Just as long as they keep that awful metal music out of the game, then I'm okay...

That was one of the few things I didn't like about WW, I thought they should have kept the music similar to SoT's music.

Exactly.,..

Ugh, how could you guys enjoy POP2? Complete sellout with only a few specks of greatness from the first. The reason the first was great was because it was made by the origional creator and was very charming. POP2 is just forced agression filled with plot holes and trying to be "xtreme".

Have you ever played it.
Cause I was like you, and you are right. Only thing is, the game still rocks, it still has good gameplay, good fightingsystem, the new prince isn't so bad, it nice to see a different side of the prince, and in this game he is far less arrogant. The game is simply surprisingly good. The story is good, the puzzles are good. it's a shame that the game has to be all bad and extreme, but better that the game survies like that, then that no one buys it and that it's completly stopt.

Oh lordy lord, the irony.

And BTW, the new prince sucks. ASS.

"Here the Prince is arrogant, angry and bloodthirsty - and, just by coincidence, that much more marketable - but despite being on the run from the Dahaka, he's made time to get a tattoo and grow some hardcore designer stubble. The change is intentional, say the game's writers, Corey May and Michael 'Dooma' Wendschuh. "We want people to miss the Old Prince - to long for the way he used to be - to wish that things had gone another way. Because that's exactly what The Prince is feeling!" Admittedly, I'm not an authority on game storytelling, but it doesn't seem to me like the secret to a successful game is to make players wish they were playing a better one."

Quite right, indeed.

for me the prince in sot was more arrogant particurly at the start, he was a right nob'ead but as the game progressed i grew more to like him, the prince in ww wasnt that bad imo, i thought he was great in the cgi cutscenes, had some good dialogue,1 thing i missed in ww was the little vignettes where it showed what lied ahead and the princes narration, 'no thats not what it was like' etc, *sniff* i want sot's charm back

I'm starting to think that Prince of Persia should be a mix of The Sands of Time and Ninja Gaiden. I think the combat system should be very similar to Ninja Gaiden's. I also liked Ninja Gaiden's difficulty.

POP1 rocked; the Prince's dialogue was entirely appropriate. It was a surperb game. But the less said about POP2 the better. I just hope POP3 fixes what number 2 broke

Awesome!
:D:D:D
The Prince of Persia, a seasoned warrior, returns from the Island of Time to Babylon with his love, Kaileena. Instead of the peace that he longs for, he finds his homeland ravaged by war and the kingdom turned against him. The Prince is rapidly captured and Kaileena has no choice but to sacrifice herself and unleash the Sands of Time in order to save him. Now cast out on the streets and hunted as a fugitive, the Prince soon discovers that past battles have given rise to a deadly Dark Prince, whose spirit gradually possesses him. Game features include: - Play and master two distinct characters: Wield the powers and weapons of two master warriors with different combat styles, attitudes, and histories. - Choose your way to fight: Master the expanded Free-Form Fighting system to destroy enemies in your own style; strangle enemies from afar with the deadly Daggertail; or surprise them with full-speed one-shot kills using a brand new stealth art. The choice is yours. - Battle freely through Babylon: Dominate enemies on the perilous rooftops, dodge through chaotic streets, and ambush pursuers in dark, underground passageways.
I'm so excited! Let the hype begin!

all i hear from this press release is more 'fight, kill, fight. kill' fight, kill'.prince, where did it all go wrong?

My thoughts as well.

"Reprise your role as the ass-kicking Prince who is even darker now! Like, X-TREME dark! Kick ass and kill shit in over 100,000 moves that will totally PWN your face! Fight! Stab! Kill! **** those stupid puzzles, those are for girls! Decapitate your enemies in ways that will give your grandmother a heart attack OVER 1000 MILES AWAY."

...I hate you...

looks like the setting from the first ww trailer at the games start, the 1 with the prince running through the streets, btw that was an awesome trailer, new outfit, no major biggie tbh. looks like he can jump while running across walls onto enemies backs.

looks rather samey tbh, still will get it though, i love pop

anyway eurogamer has some new news.

http://www.eurogamer.net/article.php?article_id=58770

you play as 2 princes, the light and dark prince whatever that means.

"According to the publisher, it's "blending the best features from the first two instalments". Although, judging by the press release, it's leaning slightly more towards the Manhunt in a Linkin' Park music video flavour of the derided but commercially viable Warrior Within than the transcendent Eastern lullaby that was The Sands of Time."

"Interestingly, you get to play as both Light and Dark Princes with different combat styles and attitudes, prowling the rooftops, streets and underground passageways of Babylon. The Free Form Fighting system - one of the better things about the second game, even if it did overdo the evilness - returns, with a distance-strangling move called Daggertail, and Ubi says stealth will play a part this time with lots of grisly one-shot kills"

1 thing this new game needs is replay value, it should be longer and have stuff likeunlockables, extra cutscenes, outfits, weapons etc like resi 4 or mgs3.

the last 2 games had very poor replay value.

you should read the comments too, generally negative
