Cataclysm II is so awesome, the beauty of the end of the world.

Greg Martin sure does some awesome work.

Gotta question to ask.

Anyone know how to do a search on Desktop Backgrounds in Search?
I know .scr is for Screensavers, but what about Desktop Background?

Sorry to change the subject but, I think we have a problem in Newbie Central.

Weird, isn't it. :|

Back on topic, on his site are tutorials to make stars and planets, so anyone who wants to make their own space wallpapers should check them out.

I usually make my own wallpapers :D Well, sort of....sometimes i piece them together a little.

In Darkness Light is my new one, thanks for the link

Mozilla has a problem with the password acess...

edit - forget about it, I always thought access was written with 1 "C". My bad.

uhh my background is solid black (the color). Consumes less ram and doesn't wear out the phosphorus on the monitor. Pluss I dont like distracting stuff in the background when I'm working on photography.

^nice program there, now i have every single wallpaper he made changing every minute along with the train station bink video for a screensaver... :D

Those were really amazing wallpapers.
Me and a friend were discussing this "Shattered" wallpaper. Imagine living on those peices of planets knowing that the edges of the peice are crumbling to form it to a ball according to the law of Van Der Vahl. Must be pretty frustrating.

those are some really cool pictures, but I am too in love with my mine to switch :)

and its less distracting :p

Yeah it's pretty good. How'd you get your bink video for a screensaver? Did you rename it to .scr and it works or something? The file takes so long to load on this old computer that I can't be bothered to try for myself right now.

Phosporus burn that you refer to was only prone to older monitors. Most monitors nowadays have built in stuff that prevents it. I forget exactly what, but I read it somewhere. Screensavers these days are purely for aesthetics/security.

If you do a lot of image work you should know that 50% grey is the optimal desktop background color. (Same color as the back ground of Photoshop's main window.)

If you're working on Photography on your computer, whatever ap you're using should be fullscreen anyway. So how would the background be distracting?

Your 3 points make no sense.
