If that arm was fully functional, that extra arm would be so very handy. I can't imagine that it would be very strong though. I don't think the rib cage is designed to have an arm on it lol... weight on that arm might do damage to his ribs. Unless his bone structure is altered too?

I don't understand why the mutation didn't properly alter his bone structure like Dan said. I mean the body is a clever and complex thing, but it didn't do this? Maybe if he survives his offspring will develop the gene further.

Yeah, pain is generally not a good thing. However, it is mentioned surely as proof of the unprecendented development of all three arms, because the baby displays feeling in all three of them.

It seems recently there has been a call to arms on creating funny, original, hand-made puns for this poor, harmless child. But we're forgetting that this paw child may have to have his extra hand amputated. That first pic of yours Sparda, looks like the baby's arm is actually developing a shoulder. The ball-socket joint is sort of petruding.
