Back to School/work soon, anyone commited suicide yet?

I'm starting my senior year August 15. It ends May 25 for underclassmen, I think senior classes end the 19th. Woohoo

i start senior year on august 28th... and i still haven't done any of my massive summer assignments. ew.

You're going to fail your year and never be able to get a job, or be able to go to college.

Also you will never have a family because you wont support them, so you will be living all by yourself, out on the streets where people will throw rotten tomatoes, rabid squirrels and feces at you.

Or at least thats what my parents told me. It really motivated me to get my ass in gear and now im in college and still not making money HORRAY!

I can't wait until Uni starts up. Moving to my new apartment on Monday, starting school the 21:th. And with "school starting" I mean 2 weeks of introductions, parties and live performances. Can't wait!

Yeah, first month-ish of school for me= easy mode.

no more education for me.

I got my University result (Graduated from Computer science with special degree in Networking (Hons)) I scored 2:1 :D :D

very happy. now I need to find a Job in the IT Industry.

my schedule is awesome. i dont have 7 classes like high school, i have 3. on any given day i only have 2.

english 11 to 12:20 mon, wed, fri
math 10 to 10:50 each day
psychology 11 to 1:20 tuesday and thursday

school from 10 to 12:0 is AWESOME. this is called a "full course load" too :) there is a light at the end of the tunnel...

unfortunately ill be working 3-12 ~4 days a week, and taking ROTC classes early in the morning.

damn =(

I'm sure the people who commited suicide can't respond to this thread.

End of the month for me too and I'm sort of indifferent towards it.

I teach 20 five year olds over the summer at Beauvoir in D.C., and if i had to go another week i would have commited suicide.

I start school sometime in August. Doing A-levels in Maths and English Language and Literature. Maths is wowhard, but I want it so Uni's will sort of say "Cool this guy's pretty clever. Let's get him here and give him money to learn". English should be fun. We're reading The Duchess of Malfie which is fun since after Great Expecations (of which my low expectations for it were fulfilled), we get a play which we actually read as a group in the form of parts. I like it.
Also in Language we FINALLY get to do some work which allows us to express ourselves in writing, instead of making shit up about what a writer may or may not have thought when he/she was writing their opium-induced borefest of a ****ing poem. I'm looking at you, Spellbound!

I have a lot of pent-up rage. Luckily that's like 3 lessons a day max (each one 50 minutes), and I can go home when they all finish \o/.

School? Man I've been working all summer and will continue to work, because I'm done school. You guys in School got it easy, believe me.

For most people, school/jobs are about to start again. I am really feeling dreadfull about this, a small panic growing inside me. I grew up in sweden going to swedish schools but 2 years ago i became an exchange student at an American school. The thing that i hate with American schools is the time, HOW THE HELL CAN YOU POSSIBLE WAKE UP AT 5:00 AM READY TO DO MATH????? My first year was horrible, i missed about 40% of my classes due to sleep-ins, i never adapted to the times. Also the tremendous homework American school gives...seriously, how can you handle it? Every single period i get a shitload of homework due the next day, i made about 20% of my homework the first year...i even refused to do the math homework simply because it was to much. When all the other guys turned in their homework i just sat still drawing stick figures on my notebook.

I have this cold feeling, a panic feeling of going back. I seriously cant handle another year of this, it really takes up all my energy. As soon as i get home after school i simply sleep for about 3 hours then i eat dinner, then i sit at the computer for 5 hours and OPPS, time to go to bed...but wait, i still have 13 hours of homework to do!!! Well, to bad.

I like the school, its fun classes and all...but they are overloading the students with work...i just CANT HANDLE it anymore. Last year it even went so far that i activated my gag reflex with my fingers just to pretend im sick and cant go to school, just because im simply stressed out.

Anyone ells feel this way? Im dead sick right now, not a disease, but of worry, i feel like this is going to be the worst school year of my life. My body cant take it anymore....whats wrong with you Americans? How in mother nature can you take this pressure?

One word: ORGANIZATION!! What grade are you in? If your in High school, you're in serious trouble. If you want to go to a college in America or Canada, and you can't handle high school work, your in some deep shit my friend. In college think of 10 times the work of high school...no 20 times.

Your stressed because you don't have a good schedual for your work. You must learn to organize your homework, and don't let your work pile up. Manage yourself better, and you will have no trouble with school.

I go back to school August 1 for my sophomore year of college. I'm working 40 hours a week straight up to that point, but that's good because I make a lot. :D

All of my earnings will be banked and then put into CoDs or mutual funds.

damn you AP homework! Damn you!!!

who else is having to do mounds of AP homework right now?

I should have taken more AP classes in high school... would have been exempt from 1 or 2 more classes in college. But I don't think it will matter too much in the long run. I'm really glad I took AP Calc BC tho, that saved me from a year of work.

My school starts September 4 to June 30.. Still got about a month (minus 2 days..)

Just don't let the bastards tell you evolution isn't real, if they do bitch-slap them (physically or verbally). That'll make you feel better.

We all know what those American schools are like...

Actually my science teachers are very smart and taught us evolution and try and expand our minds to think about the Universe and how big it really is.

Every now and then there are some random American Schools who have a crazy science teacher that dosn't believe in evolution.

I don't do my homework on less I get it done in school. At my school I hardly do any homework in my science class. However I get B's and A's on the tests. My Science teacher balances it out so I get a C+ to a B in the class.

My Math Teacher, err what a bitch. However I did my homework while she was talking. Couldn't learn from her anyway.

My English Teacher. I rarely do homework. Simple as that. I do poor on tests. I do poor in the class. I hate it, WHEN AM I GONNA NEED TO KNOW ALL OF IT? Hey when was Romeo & Juliet written? What happened? The only reason I get away with passing the class is because we watch the movies and discuss how the movies and book are different. Then on the test we have to write an essay about it. I basically can bullshit my way through it and get an A. Bad Test(Passing however) + Good Essay = Decent Score. I never even read some book, and I got a A on my essay. She loved it and wanted to use it when showing good essays. I never read any of the 4 to 6 books we read.

Spanish Teacher? I suck at Spanish, moving on.

American History Teacher? This guy was the greatest. Basically no homework assignments. He is a football couch and has a loud voice. He basically yells out all the information, writes in on the board. I don't even have to study for this class. I just listen and I understand it hell I usually don't even take notes.

I get up at 5:45 for school. I didn't do over 3 pieces of homework at home last year. I learn very quick. I don't do most of my homework. I am a C\B student. If you cannot learn from the teacher learn from the textbook or from a friend. You don't have to do the homework, just do good on the tests. Get yourself 2 study halls if you think you are worrying about the homework.

I'm almost 16 and going to be a Junior. I am the youngest kid in my class. I write C# and C++ programs. I've learned Complex File structures such as the CHK format used in Starcraft and the complex MoPaQ format used in all of Blizzard Entertainment games. I prefer C++ in handling memory and C# for Rapid GUI development. I often write C++ dll's for holding and minipulating my data and then return pointers to C#. I am the fastest typer in my school with the fastest I've ever typed with 2 or less errors being ~169 words per minute. I often can type faster than people can read.

I have to go back to school on September the 4th. ;( I would not go the the extent that I hate school but that I simply dislike it. I am not partially looking forward to next year because I am going to a new school. Once I get to know where things are though it will be fun being in high school.

AP homework for the summer? i didn get one... im taking 4 AP classes and a college course (Calculus 3)... im going to be a senior on Aug 28th!!!

I can't wait to start back at uni - going up early for the new house, then helping in freshers 'week', last year of my course (;() but should be the most engaging, FIT GIRLS :D :D, friends, booze, parties, formals, work (;().

Shame I've got to wait until September to go back up :(

damn you AP homework! Damn you!!!

Haha AP homework. The worst AP homework I remember was for world history, where we had to draw (by hand) maps and color them and write down all this history with arrows pointing to locations and diagrams showing movements. We made maybe six of those. Mine were so crammed with information that my writing started getting really small, and I didn't have enough space to write on top of the location, so I'd write info out in the middle of the ocean and draw a box and arrow. It was pathetic. :p And then, there were the essays. Ugh, three types? Change Over Time, Document Based Question, and... something else.

But after high school I got weird schedules that started at 8 AM with organic chemistry, then some crappy "computing" class where you listened to a really boring guy show you how to use Excel ("so, you click on the cell" *clicks* "and then, to enter stuff in it, you start typing" *starts typing*), then off to boring physics class, and multivariable calculus, and end with lab from 6:30 to 10:30 PM.

The second semester, I had the night labs again, and I always had a meeting to go to before lab, so I'd get out of the meeting, stop at Wendy's for dinner, and go sniff chems for a few hours. Fun times. They always had all the free food/cookies events on that particular night too.

So high school was really not so bad :D.

My next semester schedule doesn't look so bad though. Except, I spend half of all my class time in the same exact room.

Wow, you are my new role model! The only classes in school im good at was the computer classes. Last year i got a award for being one of the best student in Computer Animation (3Dmodeling, animating etc) and Engineer Draw (Modeling engines, cars and airplanes in the computer). The only classes i had an A in, all my other classes i had D and Fs. However they said i couldnt do Computer Service this year, i really wanted that class because it might help me get a little job at some computer store, but noooo there are no other computer geeks in the school so there isnt enough people for the class sry. :( Architecture Draw is the only computer class i will take this year, its the only one...but hey, as long as i see polygons im happy. But when it comes to the other classes where you actually have to READ and use that ancient tool called "pencil" to write stuff...im not in for it.
