I have made a .vtf file of a image i want to use as a background in my mod.. I have put it in the C:\Program\Valve\Steam\SteamApps\SourceMods\mymod\materials\console

When i start my mod the image is shown when it says loading, but when you get to the menu its an purple and blacke cheked picture as background.. anyone who can tell me what i have done wrong? thanks..

Check the console for any messages like, "Couldn't find vgui material:" It should be a UnlitGeneric...

Did you write a VMT for it? Because, nine times out of ten, its an incorrect VMT that causes it.
