yeah.. it's true

I gladely plugged my system in and installed Win Xp and all the drivers for my graphic and Motherboard. so when i install 3dmark01 and later on run it, i only get like 14864 points with

A7N8X Deluxe (Bios 1007)
2500+ Barton
Powercolor 9800Pro
2x256mb DDR pc3200
120gb Seagate 8mb cache

This shouldnt be right cuz i've seen people with a similuar system and they get like 16500-17000.. so something most be wrong.. I would defenetly be glad if someone would come up with some answers or whatever that might help me!

Install 3DMark03. That should be more efficient. It will also use some of the components of the newer games like HL2, DooM, UT2004, etc.

Your CPU is holding you back. You could overclock it to achieve a higher score. 14864 doesn't seem too low to me for your system. Remember to turn all your detail settings down in the ATI control panel, and that FutureMark, like Sisoft, makes synthetic benchmarks that rarely indicate performance in "real" software.
