Bad Company 2 Multiplayer Beta

Can't believe they're actually going to let us PC users demo something for once.

Demos are rarely released for any new games any more. :(
 
Awesome, I joined the beta for the first Bad Company, probably one of the best beta tests I've ever done.

Y'all have your heads in the sand for Bad Company or something? Looks great, I agree, but it's all playing off of the great elements from the first which I have no problem with whatsoever - it was a fantastic game.

Never played part 1 because I don't own a console.

Playing the first game with an awesome sound setup was ****ing incredible. The sound of shingles and rubble hitting the ground after blowing the roof off of a building, the sounds of gunfire inside a building, everything just sounded ****ing beautiful. It adds a level of intensity to the game that no other has ever offered.

Edit: Holy shit. The MP looks 10x as amazing as the first game. Buying this for sure. God damn.
 
the sound IS very impressive
I love the contextual chatter that automatically goes on between team mates
 
The chatter was one of the things I loved most about the first. Both campaign and MP had the characters going on whether you were in the heat of combat or just idling around. Especially good in SP though.

Looks like great fun. I just hope they have increased the pace of infantry combat.
As much as i liked BF2, Infantry Combat wasn't exactly its most enjoyable aspect of the game.
Walking 5 mins to get to a flag, just to be insta killed by a tank added a lot to the frustration.
For me, any way.

The destructable environments should add a lot to the fun factor though.
 
I cannot get the video to play. The L4d2 ad plays, but then it just says Video Initilizing...

Exactly. I can't wait for this demo / beta to arrive. I have a feeling it is going to be awesome.

The whole 32 max player count is very good. Instead of these very large 64 player maps, you got 32.

Also we have come from the humble BF2 graphics and gameplay, to more something that resembles Black Hawk Down:

God damn, this looks awesome. Who needs MW2? I've never seen a multiplayer shooter that has the "war zone" feel as strongly as BC2. Those sounds are really intense.
 
wow, those guys really suck! Does people really play that disoriented/confused on consoles? Jesus if i ever saw players play that bad on PC i would literally travel to their house and punch em in the face.

Other than that, looks awesome.

EDIT: Key is gone, but pick one up if you are a fileplanet subscriber (public keys are depleted for now).
 
I hope it won't run like shit like, for instance, ARMA2 (I know that the only remote similarity is both being war games).

Also, the map looked like something the kind of Zatar Wetlands (which was shit in case you didn't know). I hope they have some kickass urban maps.

And medic with an LMG? Or is it assault now and uses support weapons?
 
as somebody else pointed out already I hope they make infantry combat more exciting.
 
i'm so excited about this game that I actually bought BC1 on ebay for 10 bucks knowing full well that the sequel will be 10x better
should whet my appetite nonetheless
