My friend is trying to get a 1 gig stick of RAM to work in his computer. He has the NF7-S abit motherboard, and the RAM is a 1 gig stick of PC 3200. It will not work in any of his slots and he is getting a RAM beep error. When I put it in my computer it works fine, and my RAM works fine in his computer, what could be wrong?

Might not be compatible.
Does he have another stick of memory in there? If so it might just not like that other stick or it might not work with that board.

Does he have a board with dual channel memory?

Specifics on the ram would be nice. Brand, type (DDR I'm assuming), manufactory etc

It has no brand or who manufactured it, 184 pin, PC 3200. And he does have dual channel memory.

If the mobo uses dual channel memory he will need another stick. Try taking a single stick of your RAM and putting it into his comp.

Aside from that look up the serial # of the RAM on google to find the specifics and also look up the mobo to see if it supports that RAM.
