Bam. Tit job.

I absolutely love the press release. I saw this yesterday and went nuts over it on facebook with some of my friends who I used to do LAN coop in SS:TFE and TSE with back in the day.

Can't wait. 16 player coop?! Sick.

Croteam’s Serious Sam 3: BFE is a glorious throwback to the golden age of first-person shooters where men were men, cover was for amateurs and pulling the trigger made things go boom.

I almost cried with joy reading this. Those tears of joy quickly turned to tears of mirth as I continued reading the press release:

“Holy crap, I am going to make a boatload of cash of this game,” said Fork Parker, chief financial officer at Devolver Digital, the Serious Sam 3: BFE publisher. “I mean that’s what this is all about, right? If this thing comes out in the summer my wife is totally getting the tit job she’s been asking for.”

Serious Sam 3 will bring the boom to PC and game consoles this summer.

When asked for further comment, Fork replied, “Bam. Tit job.”

It looks good, and I like the sound of a prequel. Sounds like it'll be much more similar to the original games than 2 was, which I felt was too different of a setting.

"Ahhh! My old love!"

Gonna be a retro summer with this plus Duke Nukem.

I'm really glad they didn't continue down the path of Serious Sam 2.

Seriously. I cannot believe how much I lol'd.

I'm actually pretty wary about the 16-player co-op though. That's, that's a ****ing lot.

What scares me more is that the graphics looks GREAT, which makes me think the hordes of baddies might be slightly more like crowds than hordes this time around. Which is bad, because I would prefer worse graphics and like 500 enemies on screen at once to better graphics and 50-100 on screen at once. Those numbers are exaggerated but you get my point.

I am super thrilled to have both this and DNF this summer. Hopefully they both sell really well and the retro FPS "where cover is for amateurs" run-and-gun gibfest style will come back. I miss it :(

Holy hell, I clicked the link not expecting much, but what I saw wowed me. Shit looks tight.

It runs on the same engine as the HD remakes last year. So I wouldn't worry about it.

Yeah, I'm digging this 'revive the run'n'gun' thing. Cover-based 'serious' shooters can be fun, but I miss the ridiculousness of old-school games.

Ah, the days when "cover" meant "retreat around the corner". I think I will enjoy this despite never playing the prequel's prequels.

I'm no fan of Serious Sam, but this retro thing gives me hope for future Doom/Quake/Unreal titles being fast and ridiculous.

Haha don't hold your breath. 95% of console FPS gamers nowadays are ironsights and cover-loving scrubs. The glory days of fast paced rocket launcher deathmatch a la Q3A or UT seem mostly behind us.

This made me go ;(

But yeah, this Serious Sam would be a great way to get the group back together.

We absolutely need to get as many hl2netters as possible in coop together. I'm imagining 16 of us battling super massive bosses on a level more epic than the final mission of The Second Encounter. You know what the **** I'm talkin' about.

I'm in. HL2.net co-op was my first thought when I saw that number.

Well we could have done that in TSE HD. In fact, Me Raz and Sliver have played the first part already together.
