Bank teller catches robber, then gets fired

Hm. The thread title is rather misleading. There's a difference to the guy robbing the bank and then the guy chasing him afterward compared to a guy coming in to rob the bank and then getting chased out of there without getting anything.

NO YOU'RE MISLEADING.

You don't even need to mislead his mom.

OHHHH

I doubt he was thinking about this, but I think by not showing his weapon there is no proof he had one. So when he goes to court they can't say he had a deadly weapon, it might lighten his prison sentence some.
I think it's called use of a firearm/deadly weapon in commission of a felony, and it adds many years to your sentence...

The prison sentence varies wildly depending on many factors:

http://apps.leg.wa.gov/RCW/default.aspx?cite=9.94A.533

Note:
(f) The firearm enhancements in this section shall apply to all felony crimes except the following: Possession of a machine gun, possessing a stolen firearm, drive-by shooting, theft of a firearm, unlawful possession of a firearm in the first and second degree, and use of a machine gun in a felony;

Actually, if you rob a bank you can go to prison for life depending on the circumstances. I'm not really sure how they'd handle this one though.

Wait.. Transferring money in a domestic dispute = fired? What was their policy? Do you know?

If a bank teller can't transfer your money so someone stops taking it all, then who can..?

It was probably a joint account with both their names signed to it. You'd need permission from both parties to transfer it to one person only. Otherwise, whats to stop that whore wife from transferring it all to her own private account?

Guy was stupid to marry a whore and then set up a joint account.

I guess that's true. I didn't really think about it from a joint account angle. Then that makes sense why the guy's mother was fired. They probably can't accommodate for the money that was taken out anyway so I understand.

Stupid WHORE.

i work in a bank and used to be a cashier myself, everything youre trained for says that you just give them the money and let them run. you would seriously have to be a GIANT RETARD to chase after a robber, or even confront them in any way.
Unless you run a small business, then you'd be screwed if you only had liability ammirite?

Concealed shotguns under the counter ftw.

I'm sorry, but I don't put my full 100% trust in the babylon for protection. They only seem to show up on time when I do something wrong.
I believe in old-school justice. It's simple arithmetic people. One less robber to plague the world.

It was a joint account, but the problem was she was spending all of his cash and he wasn't allowed to cancel her card/close the account/etc. So he basically had to sit by and watch her spend thousands of dollars on bullshit. When he finally 'cut her off' she got some legal action about trying to hide funds, and my mom got fired because apparently you can't move funds for couples who are in legal trouble involving their money.

...god I ****ing hate that woman.

Right, and for every person I save I get to kill another, right? Simple arithmetic.

Endangering something is not harm unless harm actually happens.

I guess you're not familiar with the expression "no harm no foul"

It means that even if someone did something wrong, if there was no harm done, you could consider him doing nothing wrong at all.

Its cool for me to point a gun at someones face, even the president, no harm no foul bro!

'no harm no foul' is best used when someone does something on accident. For example, someone nearly hits my car and is incredibly apologetic. "No harm no foul", you might say to them. "Watch where you are going asshole", is another popular one.

He should have spent it himself. If I was in that situation, I'd find some really stable stocks that werent going anywhere, up or down, and buy the shit out of them. Then once the whore is out of the picture, sell them.

Damn, I should be a financial advisor!

Nobody would hire a dog as a financial adviser! Dogs just shit everywhere.
