Great source, I like the eyes one with the quote in the background, but the nobody one does not fit because of the text. The image is fine though.

Thanks for the criticism druckles, but i'm not sure what you mean by "doesn't work." I'll try to find more fonts, but so far I haven't found anything that looks better than Times.

I just don't think the images "work" with each other, they don't fit right, and the blurring of the player contrasts the field too much

Try doing a stroke on some, increase your range of skills. I usually create a new layer (Ctrl+Shift+L), call it stroke, put it on top (sometimes it might look better under something), Ctrl+A and Edit->Stroke.
Also try some grunge work,
