Alright, in order to make a more orderly thread about this, I'll make a thread devoted to the construction of this video. Tomarrow, Saturday, we should be filiming, if we can get ahold of enough people. With my luck, 1/2 the people won't even be online. What I really need, is someone who has a clan server or such with Battlerecorder on it. I'm trying to get one going, but don't know if it will go for sure.

Anyway, I was hoping to get recording going on from 7PM CST to 12ish CST Saturday.

I REALLY need the people who are going to be available for this to let me know via Email/MSN/AIM/Xfire/Yahoo/Rock through window/etc. Please.

My ideas for the video portion, I can use FRAPS at 1/2 size game mode to record, and have no slowdowns or anything, or I can do it at full, with some mior lag *20ish frames..*. This is on LOW settings btw. So if I could get someone to rip the battlerecorder off to some AVI, then encode it to something smaller, I'll see what I can do about getting you some webspace to host it on.

If I forgot anything, I'll try to keep it in here.

Again, lets keep this thread about this video construction only. If you want to join in, I got lots of buttons next to my post count you can use. And I have my Xfire CyberPitz if you want to get ahold of me there. Anyway, I'll close this. Hope to hear from you all.

Sorry, I won't be able to participate with these recording hours. It's 2AM - 7ish AM for me :/ (GMT+1)

Damnit. It's 3PM, and so far, the people who have said they would do this before, most say they can't now. Those who can do it now...are a small number. I guess I'm going to have to join a clan before I can get this going :P

Sorry to cancel this day for it. I'll see what I can do about another day though.

hello i just liked to ask if its possible for me to join i have experience with BF2 filming and real life filming. i have a video that i made useing need for speed all my myself in about 3 hours just to show what kinda skill i can offer to this filming operation so plz let me know iam working hard to get to filming school so iam pasionete about filming, thank you.

just a note i have a really good script for makeing a bf2 video that i have been planing for 6 months so its well thought out but this is just to let you knw if your intristed.

Yeah I'm up for a BF2 video! :bounce: I made a cs clan video once back in the day and that came out pretty good. BF2 is really hard to record though so idk... But yeah if you want me to fly in the jet and do tricks, etc I'm up for it. I'm on EST time btw.

BF2 recorder is a complete biatche to work with. Easily the worst game recorder system I've ever worked with. :| Good luck to whoever's willing to face the demon that is BF2 Recorder.

Just d/led that video again. I forgot about all that. This was our little stunt video.

It'd be fun to make another video sometime. I liked flying in our last one.

Anyone want to make a new BF2 video? We could brainstorm on Xfire for a bit over the weekend, get some ideas, and I can write some and/or all of the script. *shrugs*

We've tried this, it's way too hard to get going, and things just go wrong most of the time. We aren't a dedicated/skilled enough community to do it. We got one out, it was awesome, we should just leave it at that.
 
Last time we tried with Qonfused and that ended up with... nothing but wasted time. Unless we have some really dedicated people who are willing to spend hours to just get footage alone, I doubt a BF2 video will work out.

I played on 256 with xombine and a friend, I was piloting the Chinese Heli solo while xombine + friend were on the Cobra.

edit: BF2 Recorder is a complete and total bitch to work with, if only my comp could handle FRAPs during gameplay without turning down the settings... ;( Oh well, it's a bit choppy but you'll have to live with it @_@

BF2launcher *or something like that* It's a 3rd party bf2 demo watcher.
 
I tried to use it a while back, but it still suffers the same "no rewind" lame bullshit that BF2 Recorder has :|

I still wish we could've gotten my stunt in.

It sounds complicated but I had this one practiced well enough that I could do it.

Kubra Dam - I take a bomber, 2 other people jump in a blackhawk and fly into the tunnel of the dam and hover at the very top. I come in, fly through upside down UNDER the blackhawk. 2nd person in the BH jumps out into my bomber as I fly through. BH pilot then lands the helo in the tunnel. I come around for another pass upside down and the passenger then jumps out into the BH as I fly through the tunnel again.

If you could pull that off I'd shit my pants.
 
Pretty challenging but I'm sure you can pull that stunt off, only hard part is on the Jet pilot since hovering blackhawk is a cinch. Does the jet fit in the bottom tunnel at the base of the dam? I've never tried, I know attack Heli's fit great (both MEC and Cobra) but I'm unsure about jets.

Kubra's great for stunts though, there's also the damaged structures right near the MEC Airfield that you can fit a jet through, although that has been done before in video I saw a while back... still cool nonetheless.
