Not really no, HDD speed has a minimal effect on loading times. RAM is #1.

Then my load times should be significantly shorter.
I have 2gb of ram ffs, before I only had 512mb and the load times haven't changed at all with the increased amount of ram.

it would really have more on cpu and how much stuff is being run in the background because mine is clocked at 2.4ghz and it takes about 2mins but sometimes it will take awhile depending on the server.
