Anyone in this beta?

I got in, but it would be great if I knew some people from dear ol' HL2.net to play with :(
 
I don't remember signing up for any beta, so I guess not.

Fear not! There is still hope!

This weekend they are giving away beta keys to testers, so if I can grab some extra keys I'll send you one.
 
Yeah I'm in the beta but haven't played for a while.

In the meantime, keep checking their website www.battlefield-heroes.com, cause they are always having opportunities to get beta keys (from what it sounds like its a first come first serve thing).
 
Even if you guys do get in the beta, you can't pick a server from a list... you're thrown onto a random server. :|
The game is okay but it's just too over the top for me, it literally takes like 50 shots from any gun to kill someone.
 
i thought this game was released ages ago
 
It looks like something to waste a few minutes on, but there are other games I'd rather play with some hl2netters.
 
After playing it, I found its a nice game just to pick up and play for a round or two. I've launched it multiple times and only played a couple of matches, but I never really get sick of it.
 
I got sick of it instantly. It honestly takes 1 whole clip of about 100 bullets to take someone out. The models are shit. I hate how it 'chooses the best server' for you and then throws you into a server where you lag out.

Honestly, for a free game, it sucks hard.
 
Even though it's a beta, I hope to God they let us make servers and the like. :|

is no one playing this? I've been playing for over a week and it's tons of fun
 
Stopped a long time ago due to some crappy bugs. And the game was deleted when I wiped my hard drive :(
 
I think it's garbage, won't be playing it again until I hear some really great things about it or if they add anything worth my time.
 
garbage? it's pretty much like every death match game out there with mods. it's a fun change from the typical "serious" fps mp games out there. I wouldnt pay $49 for it but it's worth playing at the nice price of free
 
Okay, I lied about not enjoying the game.
It's grown on me, I've just been away from shooters for so long that I was horrible at this.

Also, it would seem that they're doing one last stats wipe which should mean that they'll be releasing this to the public any time now.
 
I ordered a key too. I played the closed beta a few months ago(I can't anymore) and it was great fun. Can't wait to get a new key :)

The only problem is that it feels like Team Fortress 2 with a lot less features.
 
Yeah I absolutely love this game. The only bad part about it now is that players are becoming really good now. I absolutely love piloting the plane or Tank though. I use my joystick for the plane. I also love running people over in the car. :LOL: *Also Commandos, I HATE THEM ARGHHH. Plus Nazi's always win.
 
Any notice on how long till its open to the public?
 
what? the last update (last week) said that this was the last beta cycle and that our characters from beta would carry over till release later this month
 
I sent Dog a key because I feel bad for him. :upstare: I have no clue why they sent me another key.
 
I registered yesterday so I should get a key within a month :\

cant stop playing this game. I have 3 toons > lvl 10.
 
I got a beta key and getting this thing activated is a bitch. I went to tie it to my EA account and it said my key is tied already. Where the hell is the download link? lol

EDIT: nevermind.

It's quite fun. The graphics aren't spectacular, the gameplay isn't very deep and the matches usually last 5 minutes or less, but it all seems right for what it is: a free, browser based shooter. The leveling is very, very addictive. You start a bit underpowered but it's no that hard to reach level 5 or so in an hour. Got myself a new SMG and some grenade spam ability. It's too bad your bound to one class, but the specializing has its merits as well I guess. I don't see myself buying credits to get a new sweater, monocle or other gear though.
