Battlefront

Is anyone else having issues with Battlefront?
I am able to install it correctly but when I go to Start Game it gives me an error.
It's with the main LaunchBF.exe. If I launch just the game exe and not from the menu it says Fatal error. :\

Also if I go to Help and Analyze Your Computer, it passes all of the tests (5 so far) except it gives me an error with Hardware enumerator.
Operation system - Windows XP - Passed
CPU - 2000MHz - Passed
RAM - 1024MB - Passed
DirectX version - 9.0c - Passed
Sound devices - Realtek AC97 Audio - Passed
Then it pops up with the error.

I've tried reinstalling it (3 times) and disabled my AV along with the rest of programs in my taskbar. I even installed a DVD-Rom in case the copy protection didn't like my CDRW drive.

Guess I'll be looking on msg boards or waiting for a patch before I will be playing. :|

Try it with a no-cd crack. It helped me when I had a similiar problem with a game that wouldn't start.

ask their tech support, if all esle fails, get a new copy at the store.

Sadly that didn't work. Same error. Thanks anyway.
That did rule out the copy protection or CD-ROM issue.

I'll return the game soon enough but I'll wait for a patch or some clues on msg boards first. I like Battlefield style games and I hear this one is a good one and is similar to those.

Amazing. Updating to SP2 allows me to continue without the error!
Lets just hope SP2 doesn't stop me from using other programs. :\
