ever been stung by a bee? any memorable stories?

i had my laundry drying outside, so i brought it in and put on a crisp pair of jeans, then a shooting pain through my grundel, a friendly was was in my pants  . soo i freaked out took them off and ran into the bathroom for ointment (so many of my stories have that line). after that i got new pants and went about my day, about 8 hours later i get home, hop in bed and that same bastard wasp stings the shit out of me again  .

most i ever got stung was about 12 times (hit a bush with a lawnmower, needless to say the bees that lived there weren't so happy )

:LOL::LOL::LOL::LOL::LOL::LOL::LOL:

hahahahahah, that's pretty funny :p

anyways, no I haven't ever been stung

(and use a space in the title next time mmk?)

lol, nice story

i remember once that as a child i was running around foolishly throwing a paper airplane. when i threw it again and watched it land, i ran towards it only to find out that a bee was about to sting me at the side of my eye. and it did, and it was quite painful.

lol and i remember a friend that was also flying this paper airplane and it hit a bee but he didn't see it, and then he bent over to pick it up and the bee stung him in his neck and he was like, "ooooh! shit! oooh! shit!" he covered his neck with one hand and ran inside the school bent over and running stupidly... you can call me cruel but it was so funny :E

bees can sing?

never knew......

but anyway, no bee has ever managed to penetrate my skin

I once was walking over a wood pile when I slipped and fell about 4 feet to the ground, flat on my back. It wasn't really so bad....except for the hornets nest that I hadn't noticed up to that point....which was now lying crushed underneath me. Needless to say, I found out just now fast I could run that day.

Only other bad one was when a yellow jacket got me in the calf and my leg literally swelled up to twice it's normal size. Could barely walk for about a day.

A bee thought about stinging me once, then I punched it in the eye.

Other than that I've never been stung before.

My body has not yet been violated by a bee sting.

When we were young me and my friends would go "wasp hunting". We'd get a garden hose, water balloons, rolled up newspapers, and go torture some wasps

We got so good at it we could knock out wasps as they came at as at full speed with the newspaper :E

My brother and I hunted Wasps by catching them in bottles. Those crazy White Anglo-Saxon Protestants.

I am slightly allergic to bee and wasp stings. I got stung on the left side of my forehead right before going on holiday to the seaside, the whole left side of my face ballooned up and i couldn't open my eye at all. I must of looked absolutely freakish wandering down the street... ;(

I was fishing with my bro when I was little and stumbled across a hornets nest (not quite a bee but meh).

One flew up my top and stung me on the nip! Twas rather painful! ;(

sigged, that made me laugh so much

ive been stung on the:

* Shoulder( bee landed on my shoulder decided to kill it with my head, very dumb idea )
* Finger by a wasp, right ont he bit with no meat just skin n bone

I've been stung by bees and/or wasps somewhere between 6 and 10 times that I can remember without purposefully doing something to provoke them. If ill-tempered insects are near they will single me out from a group and attack me. The people next to me will not have a single mosquito on them and I'll have about 10 on my right foot alone. Also, when mosquitoes bite me something like this happens (I'm mildly allergic to mosquito bites, from repeated exposure to them)... and if someone washes my clothes in bleach it's like that x1000, called acute urticaria... which looks more like this or this and covers the entire area exposed to the aforementioned clothing (or, in one case, a towel from USF's gym). Luckily, the only two times someone actually used bleach on my clothes they forgot to do my underwear. I can't imagine that stuff on my important bits...

Anyway, bees... yeah... well, I'm sort of paranoid around them after having so many encounters with them as a child.

When I was about 6 I was on some swings in the park, and as I swang forward a bee went straight into my gob, stinging the roof of my mouth. I spat it out and I remember it being pretty damn painful, I think I just started screaming and trying to drink some coke (which didn't actually do anything :p)

With the grandparents on both sides of my family deciding to be Apiarists :flame: much of my childhood was full of bee stings. Luckily I am not allergic.

Som of the highlights include:

1) Not realising I had a bee in my hair, running my hands through my hair and getting a sting right on the soft skin between my fingers

2) Having a bee sting me on my eyelid. That is the only time I've ever had a swelling reaction to a bee sting.

Otherwise it just hurts a bit then goes away.

i got stung many times because of my freind. We were on a farm and he says 'look! a beehive!' and starts throwing rocks at it. He then cycles off on his bike and leaves me to get pummelled by angry bees.

In Soviet Russia, bee stings you!
So, what? It's just like it is here? Well, it's nice to know that at least some things are the same in Soviet Russia, considering how many things are apparently the opposite of what I am accustomed to. :E

You keep some good friends in your company

What a bastard ;(

I've never been stung, well not properly.. I put my hand down on grass.. I felt something so I looked at my hand, and I had a bee stuck to my finger.. I just shook it off. That was a few years ago. My mum's incredibly allergic to bees/wasps/fleas, and since i react badly to fleas (damn cats ;( ) too i'm guessing I'm allergic to bees and wasps as well. They tend to leave me alone though

Last summer, I was minding my own business walking through the wood.

BAM. Asshole yellow jacket stings me in the side of my foot.

The most closest thing I had to a bee sting was an injection...

When I was 8 or so my family and I were vacactioning in Arizona. We were coming out of the supermarket when I felt something on crawling underneath my shirt. The crawler turned out to be a vicious hornet that stung me right on the chest. When it stung me, I started screaming and beating on my chest like a wild man until the thing fell out. When it fell, I started crushing it by jumping up and down on it. My reaction is what some would call frantic, but atleast I killed the bastard. Ah the memories.

I remember when I was little I was by this pool, and I was holding this ice cream before this huge swarm of bees comes towards me. So I screamed, dropped the ice cream and dived in the pool. Everyone laughed at me. :(
And I got stung in the thumb by a bee and it became infected once, swelled up like crazy and needed a bandage. Looked like I was giving everyone a

well, my friend got stung in the throat by a bee, no he didnt die. but he looked sooooo funny, cause his neck was twice its normal size.

When i was about 8years old i went to burger king with my friend and we were playing in the playground thing and i got thirsty..so i went for my drink which was laying out there and in my straw was a yellow jacket and i didnt notice it. I slurpped that sucker right into my lower lip. You should of seen my lip...it was all fat and after few minutes i had bumps all over my body and i started to feel itchy all over. and i had breathing problems also.

I was rushed to the emergency and than was all better. They told me im allergic to yellow jackets and i could died if i never came.

So now im 19yrs old and im still going to the allergic clinic for shots monthly. I get 1shot on my left arm and 2 on the other. Switches off everytime i visit. :(!!!!!!!!!

Its a bitch but I GOTTA SURVIVE TEH WLD! :imu:

btw- ive been stung about 4 times. (LOL)

Oh man thats harsh, sorry to hear you got it so hard from little insects.

When i was younger i used to catch bees, wasps and hornets in my hands without getting stung, i was pro, but 3 years ago, a wasp flew into my new house. I chased it around with a newspaper and eventually got that hit, but i couldn't see it on this old red, green, black, blue HORRIBLE patterned carpet(which is now gone). So i forgot about it. Later i'm walking around in my dashing shorts, and family are round and taken all the seats, so i sit next to the wall, put my leg down, BAM, dead wasp stings me in the back of the leg. Luckily im not allergic, but my pride was hurt badly. Years of being an artist, defeated by a deceased wasp, that came back for a few seconds to win a victory against me :(:(:(

These days i cant go outside, the shame is too much...

Been stung by bee's about 4 times. When I was about 7 I empty a large bottle of coke and took it outside into the field. Nice hot summer day it was. I started collecting all sorts of insects and sticking them in the bottle - they got all wet and sticky and I thought it was funny.

However when i opened the dam thing i wasn't expecting a Bee to crawl out and sting me. So i got squashed.

TBTH, i have never been stung by a bee (touchwood..)

but i know of a girl that got a bee stuck in her ear for 6 hours before finally getting it removed by doctors...

damn she was in pain i cud tell

This reminded me of a story my friend was telling me. He was at football practice and the groundskeeper ran over a bees nest with a lawnmower. With the whole football team watching and laughing he jumped off the mower screaming with a swarm of bees chasing him around in circles and stinging him, while his mower continued off down the field by itself. I wish I could have actually seen it.

I was real young living in California, Long beach. Was outside playing, sitting on the stairs going up to the second story house(a duplex. my aunt and her family lived in that part, mine lived in the below house). I felt this horrible horrible stinging sensation, and I looked around in lots of pain, and saw a huge, fat bee twitching and dying on the step I was sitting on. Needless to say it scarred me for life, because it also had raped my mother and killed my father!
