Leaked document shows EPA allowed bee-toxic pesticide despite own scientists’ red flags

An internal EPA memo released Wednesday confirms that the very agency charged with protecting the environment is ignoring the warnings of its own scientists about clothianidin, a pesticide from which Bayer racked up €183 million in sales in 2009.

The colony-collapse phenomenon is complex and still not completely understood. While there appears to be no single cause for the annual die-offs, mounting evidence points to pesticides

No, bees **** flowers. Most important ****ing in the world.

Society would completely collapse without bees. Up to 1/3 of the worlds crop types and up to 90% of flowering plants would cease to exist.

Well, honestly, that includes all animal germinators (butterflies, etc.) - not just bees.

I hope 'society collapses' anyway. And by collapse I mean dramatically transition into something that doesn't revolve around making a god damn buck. It'd be nice to keep bees around too, maybe.

I remember reading an article like this when that stupid movie the Happening came out. the article expressed an alarming trend with bees and now as of lately Bumble Bees are ****ed too

Someone has been watching that Jerry Seinfield movie too much..

I think I made a post linking to similar articles in that groups of birds dropping dead thread.

Every time I say,

I am afraid for the future.

it becomes a little more true.

**** bees, I'm sure there are better ways to pollinate flowers anyways.

No there isn't, bees are as cheap as free and they pollinate the vast majority of crops in nations like the US where a large amount of crops are made for export.

**** crops, **** bees. I said it before, I'll say it again. If someone were to come up to me with a button, and say "if you push this button, it will kill all the insects in the world, but the world will suffer all the consequences of it" I'd have pushed it the second they said "kill all the insects"

But then all the spiders would still exist. **** spiders. Though, they eat insects, so then that would kill the spiders. But what eats spiders?

Thanks, now I won't be able to sleep tonight.

Good. **** bees.

Oh, you know. The increasingly bioengineering-based agriculture, corporatism, overpopulation, resource wars, the swift eradication of natural life in the name of Dollar, overt and ubiquitous attempts by our leaders to quell the free press, things like that.

But all those things are already happening!

Except overpopulation, that's just used as a front for the builderburg-funded UN-supported eco-facist agenda of anyone at the lowest rungs of the power pyramid is subjected to forced sterilisations, dumbing down through the food and water etc. etc. because we exhale carbon dioxide.

Trust me, The transition will be so smooth, nobody but you and I will probably notice.

And if I try to discuss (emphasis on discuss!) this with people I know, I'm a "conspiracy theorist" which automatically means all of my opinions are completely invalid, across the board, without exception. Despite the fact that one of the people I tried to talk to about this is a proponent of the simplistic and narrow-minded Zionist conspiracy.

I don't know what to do, man. I want to do something constructive but I don't know where to start at all, or if it's even possible.

I really don't know.

The only good bug is a dead bug.

Anyway, we can pollinate the flowers by hand if we need to. We'd just need more population and resources.

Do some survival classes, load up on some guns and get a bicycle?

I'm not sure on what your spiritual views are, that's usually my advice to atheists - I usually mention Natural Selection and how they're part of it, and they become determined to outlive whatever bullshit is thrown at them.

This isn't Starcraft, you can't just get additional pylons.

I find it hard to see how many people fail to understand how important bees are. They easily qualify as a keystone species, without bees we'd all be ****ed.

I blame vegeta for shooting bees TO DEATH
