I don't think there is any religion that believes that Jesus is God. But there are plenty that think he is the son of God.

I myself am a Christian. I believe Jesus is the son od God... yada yada yada. I'm sure you've all heard it before. I however do not believe in going to church. I think the Bible was made for you to interpret yourself not some guy who went to college a few year to be "directly linked to God" and I'm sure you've all seen whats happened with a lot of priests on the News(which I'm all sure we remember). I also don't think the the Bible should be taken literally. There is no denying scientific facts and I'm sure the stuff in the Bible was meant to be taken literally either.

Also worshipping Satan would have to be the stupidest thing anyone could do. Because if there is a Heaven and a Hell(which I believe there is) even if you did worship Satan you're still going to get tortured for all eternity. Why? Because if you know anything about Satan is that he hates humans more then anything. So why would he treat any specially if they worshiped him? The truth is...if there is a Satan he wouldn't, he'd just lie to spread evil then torture the people who helped him forever.

Believing in nothing is cool but if there is a Heaven and a Hell I'm sure you have a better chance of getting in if you believed in nothing than if you worshiped Satan.

A lot of people say "If there is a God why hasn't he stopped any of the horrible happenings in this world?" Well God(if there is one) promised not to interfere with free will. Intervening in anyway in any event is acting against ones free will. He gave people a choice to do what they want and to believe what they want. If he tried to stop anything in anyway then he'd be going against what he wanted humans to do, which is choosing what to do on their own.

I also believe (going on Biblical interpretations) that to enter Heaven you need to be saved (see the above link). Therefore, even if you worshipped Satan or nothing, if you weren't saved, according to the Bible you would go to hell.

Oh, and Satan doesn't torture people. Hell tortures people. Hell tortures Satan. Hell is Satan's personal prison, he hates it down there more than anyone.
 
I do not beleive in God. I beleive in a Goddess.
Its the Allmighty Computer Goddess Pixel. She controls everything. Except a few things that is controlled by the Not So Allmighty Computer Devil CeeTeeDee (notice the devilish name).

There isnt that much to the religion, no stupid praying on anything. And no volumes of thick texts that makes no sense. Though the Holy TXT does tell about some cool events, like the Great War that followed when CeeTeeDee created a nude hack for Pixel. She was mighty furious I tell you...

Not neccesarily. For example, I could claim that God and Satan are one and the same, just two different sides of the same coin. Thus, there is no Satan, only God, for good and for evil. Wouldnt beleive in God less for that.
So the correct words are "If you beleive Christianity you believe in Satan". Believing in "God" has nothing to do with it. Beleiving in the "Christian God" does however. It is two different things...
 
Atheism itself is a total hipocracy.... since you must have a concept of god to not believe in it :p. Think about it.
 
I don't believe in any god. I believe that humanity is its own god. I guess that makes me an atheist.
 
I'm not sure, I believed in God because I believe he led me into the path of being a christian. And for a time, it was good, but I just have too many gripes with how god works to fully believe in him so I've put off being a christian until I'm feeling a bit better. Now I just have to hope I don't die before then :D

Ok, fair point, was bad wording on my part.

And mrBadger, nope, it's not. Since you can have a concept of something without believing in it. I have a concept of a "god", based on what others believe and based on what I've read. I don't believe "he"/it exists though.

What is in the bible doesnt deny scientific facts. Take for instance the plagues of Egypt when moses was around. A lot of people used to deny them as myth where as now people know that could happen. Many now believe that there was in fact a volcano that exploded that time and it could in fact have caused the plagues. Anyway a lot of the time the miracle isnt just in the event but in the timing. Now then there are certain things in the bible that could go against scientific fact, but God is after all the creator of the universe so i think he can bend the rules when ever he wants.

(Before i say the next thing there is such a thing as church and THE church. When i say the church i mean the whole of Christianity, when i say church i mean the building or whatever.)

How can you not believe in going to church? Church is a place where you can come together to worship God and learn more about him. Obviously you dont need to go but it helps a lot. not all churches are run by "people who went to college for a couple of years". And even if they have, they can often bring insight which people wouldnt normally think of.

When you say interpret yourself, what do you mean by that? Because Jehovas Witnesses "interpreted" the bible for themselves and re-wrote it. Which is wrong basically. However if you mean one pert can mean one thing to me and another part can mean something to you then i understand that.

That whole part about satan is silly. I dont mean what you said, i mean the whole thing about worshiping satan. How on earth can you worship satan when satan himself knows God exists and fears him. Now then some might say its because satan is really the omnipotent nice guy, but if so how did he end up being named the bad one?

Anyway, it does say in the bible that if you never new God then you will judged off your consience. Basically whether you were sorry etc. So you dont have to be a Christian to go to heaven, but if you have heard the teachings of God then you have to make a choice. At least thats the way i see it. Again its difficult to convey what i mean with such an impersonal way of communicating.


Oh and dawdler to you the correct words might be "Christian God" But to me its just God because i know he is the only God. So ner! :p :p

EDIT#2: OH yeah i also think that you should go watch Bruce Almighty. Its a good film and probably the only one ive seen that potrays more like he is and in a good light.

But whos to say how long a day is to God. And I didn't mean that I wanted to rewrite the Bible when I said I think you should interpret it for yourself. And I goto church every now and then but I don't go every Sunday. And as some person before said that you have to be "saved" to goto Heaven. Well I already have been about two years ago. But its in the end that only true believers get rewarded.

Look! Again christianity is stumped with its stupidity, how long is a day, bah! Holy Bandwidth knows exactly how long a day is for the Allmighty Goddess: 1 Clockcycle. We have the answers, hehe.

Btw, how can God as in the eternal being God even count days? Did he start creating the world, then timed the spins of it? When did he start to spin it? According to the creation story, on day 4 he created the stars and the sun and the moon etc... So actually, you couldnt count days until day 4, it would have been impossible. So how come it was the fourth day? Yes, the light and dark was created on day 1, but the earth couldnt have been spinning then, as there where nothing in the universe. There would have been no point in making it spin. Light and darkness maybe existed, but day and night sure didnt, not in the way those that wrote it define days. Gaps of logic there :)

Curious fact that light was created before the sun really. It would have been much more effiecient to create the sun before, it provide all the light we could ever need. Would God really be that stupid that he created something and then created it again? ;)

Oh, and I personally am an Atheist. Oh the hypocracy... actually I chose not to believe in God becuase he let something very bad happen to a person who led a good, christian life... and died becuase of a trivial matter. I prayed for them..... and it did nothing

I know having someone die is hard. Trust me i really do. But im sure if they were a Christian they will be a lot happier now.

I think it was either the fact that god supposivly knows all or woteva it is or it is a rough estimate.

What? So people can ressurect people who have been dead for days, on their own?

Blind? No, my eyes have been opened.

Narrow Minded? No, I can see things in many different lights.

Just to have the idea that i'm not alone? I know i'm not alone. I worship God because He deserves it, and because I love Him so.
I go to church so I can worship in a group, and also so I can be a part of a Christian community.
I follow the Bible because I fully believe it is God's word. I follow Jesus' teachings because He knows best.

I am as happy as happy can be.

Fantasy? Don't get me started on this one..

The ones that wrote the Bible estimated? Well, then we know why the Bible is like it is ;)

And God can not know all. It is an impossibility. Why? Because we would then not have an option in life. He would know everything that has happened, is happening and will happen. Meaning, life is set in stone, otherwise he could not know about it. We do not have any choice. We do not have free will. If we do however have it, it means there are endless dimensions with possibilities out there. But if there are endless dimensions, how can he know which one is the correct? Therefore there cant be any dimensions, just one. Life. And thus we do not have any choice, it is set in stone. But how is that possible? God created us in his image, and he can not have been limited by choice, he can do whatever he wish. Thus we cannot be limited either, we are created with free will, a mind of our own. So either God does not know everything, or we are a living dilemma :D

Dear Pixel its too hot here, my brain is overheating, the Evangelic Realm Of The Goddess already have on occasions.

Where have you got the idea that having Christian parents makes you a Christian? A lot of people rebel against what their parents believe. You are trying to suggest our wills have been bent to what our aprents want. Well thats just not true so your statement is flawed. Your comment towards Dave is stupid too. "Go to your castle" Of course he wil deffend what he believes. Just because you attack what people believe doesnt mean they cant defend.

I never even opened a Bible myself until sometime last year. My parents never took me to church, they never prayed.

Why did you open the bible, why that particular book?

if GOD as people say made the bible, why is there different versions... why did he make spelling errors why does it predicts events that did not happen?
 
Erm Valved, isn't it ironic that you are calling them narrow-minded... when you yourself are denouncing them :p. And isn't it up to them what they believe in.

Valved il tell you why that particular book. Because it makes more sense than you would know. What things has it predicted that havent happened?

There are different versions for different people. It has to adapt to the language of the people that read it. I dont think anything is really lost with the translations. Ive read some of the original hebrew and greek text and what is written in them still holds true today. Obviously there are differences. Take for instance the 'Red sea' was orginaly the 'sea of reeds'. And the meaning from that has been lost somewhat. But the idea behind it is still true.
