Seen a lot of sweet rigs here at this forum and i was interested in seeing what they can do for benchmark scores in 3dmark '01 (build 330) & '03 (build 340). And maybe the UT2003 benchmark.exe if you have it. I know actual ingame performance is what really matters especially after all that hoopla with Nvidia cheating the tests but i think benchmark scores can be good for comparing scores with systems similar to yours and helping to find out what needs tweaking on your rig. I hope there isnt already a thread like this, did a search but didnt find anything.

My specs:

AthlonXP 3000+ 400 FSB @ 2.1GHz volcano 10 HSF
Asus A7N8X Deluxe rev.2.0
2x512mb Corsair pc3200 DDR RAM @ 400 MHz
ATI Radeon 9800 Pro 128mb CATALYST 3.10
WindowsXP Pro

Benchmarks:

3dmark2001SE: 16,900
3dmark2003: 5600
UT2k3 Benchmark.exe: Flyby - 215 Botmatch - 72

I have a bigger penus....so my benchmark numbers dont matter.

This usaully turns into a whos daddy bought them the best PC.

basicly.

I have a Athlon 650mhz with a GF2 TI 64mb card that does 150 in 3dmark2003...does that help?
I thought that was pretty high.

This is the First time i did this so here i go.

Intel(R) Pentium(R) 4 CPU 2.20GHz 2.2 GHz
NVIDIA GeForce4 Ti 4600 Driver 4.4.0.3
512 MB
ASUSTeK Computer INC. P4T-E

3DMARK03 : 1715

Is that any good?

Someone tell me plz

If i get a 9800xt will it play HL2 good?

P4 2.6 @ 3Ghz
512 PC2700 (Crap RAM for the time being)
Geforce 4 4800SE
2x Western Digital SATA Hdd's 120Gb (SATA)
Asus P4P800 Mobo

3dMark 01SE = 12,000
3dMark 03 = 3000(ish)

Crap :p

Well if that's the case here then i'm sorry but this forum is full of immature little brats. These kinds of threads can prove useful if people use them right. For example, person A's computer has the same specs as person B's computer, but person B's computer scores a couple of hundred points higher on 3dmark2003. Then person A asks person B about how his system configuration is setup and they commence to trade tips on tweaking their systems. Hence the thread becomes useful. This is my intention with this thread.

To answer your question He@t, that's an expected score for a Ti4600. 3dmark2003 is a directx 9 based benchmark and your Ti4600 is not a directx 9 card, it cannot process the directx 9 features in the test well that's why your score is low. And yes, if you upgraded to a 9800XT you would be able to run HL2 good.

duel Opteron 244
3 gig ram
9800 XT 256mb
2 250GB Raid-0 array harddrives

3DMark03: 23
UT2003: 5.2
Aqua mark: 10 on a good day
Quake 3: 30

That was on my old system.

My new system will not be benched anytime soon, it is still too new. I don't exactly want any parts to fail, just a precaution.

You sir, are estimating your 3dmark03 score (or openly lying). A 4800SE is a Ti4200 with 8x AGP. It's be extramly hard to score above 2000 without a DX9 card, which is what you have.

My System:
AMD Athlon XP-M 2400+ Barton @ 11.5x200 (2.3Ghz)
Thermaltake Silent Boost (~42C idle)

Can you link me to the Unreal 2004 benchmark?
Is that a standard demo and is it a flyby or bot?

I just added my benchmark scores to my sig.
I did a quick OC just for fun. ;)
My PC2700 handled it just fine. Ran at 191Mhz (382) @ 2-2-2-5 during the OC like a champ.

I just hit 10249 in 3DMark 03 :O

And I'm not done yet, still have to finish OCing my CPU and Video Card

Specs:
Athlon XP 2800+ @ 2177 Mhz
1 Gb of RAM
X800 Pro @ 572/519 (stock is at 475/450)

[Edit]: Everything at stock I get a score of 8865 in 3DMark 03

w00t! Awesome.

We should really look to real game benchmarks rather than synthetic benchmarks. I don't play the 3Dmark series, do you? ;)

btw I have noticed a big difference in loading games with this A64 vs my 2800XP.
Plus, in GTA:VC, it blinks rather than pausing for a few seconds on the load screens between sections of the city.

I think I'm going to leave this system OCed. It turned out pretty slick with Cool&Quiet enabled.
Before, it lowered to 1.8GHz from 2GHz and lowered the voltage to 1.35 from 1.5.
Now with my 2.3GHz OC it lowers to 2GHz and 1.35 volts. Keeping it cool while not under load. ;)

Asus: The UT2004 benchmark is in your system folder. It's called "Benchmark".

It has 4 tests, which are actually interactive... ie you do the moving and playing... 2 flyby and 2 botmatch, at the end it give you averaged fly by and botmatcvh scores (flyby=greater)

for those who are interested

athlonXP 2500+/1.833GHZ OC to 3200+/2.088GHZ 1GB 3200 DDR
geforceFX5900 flashed and OC to 5950 ULTRA 450/975

all benchmarks at 1024x768x85
UT2003 295 / 75
3dmark03 right at 6000 , depending on the mood of my system.

I had a 9600 Pro and my score was usually around 3000/3300 (in 3dMark 03) depending on what mood my graphics card was in.

Your score is really good. Mind you, I have a graphics card that a whole ten people in this world currently have. You will be able to blow away HL2. :)

Cool.. thnx alot Pressure and blahblahblah !!!

3dmark03 Score = 1082
3dmark01SE Score = 5306
...lol :)

2.6ghz Pentium 4, 512mb DDR Ram, and 128mb FX 5200!
Hmm, guess it's a good thing HL2 won't be out for another couple of months, it'll give me some time to save for a new graphics card :)

Here's my benchmark score with Aquamark, I don't have the 3Dmarks anymore;

And my specs:

OS: Windows XP Pro v5.1.2600
DirectX: 9.0b
CPU Model/Name: Intel Pentium 4 Processor with MMX(TM) Technology
CPU Speed: 2.2GHz
Total Physical Memory: 1024MB
Graphic Card: Hercules Radeon 9800

But I have updated the R9800 bios twice since last year, once to R9800 Pro and now it's a R9800XT :)

I bet I could get a whole lot more on Aquamark if I had a motherboard that supported AGP 8X.

Hey you have the same CPU as me. Looks like it'll perform good with a 9800 pro, it doesn't bottleneck it does it? I gotta get 512 RAM too.

amd 2800
512 ddr ram
9800pro
epox 8rda3i

3dmark01 - 14800, does that sound about right or should/could it be higher?

Sweet check me out! Highest scores so far! I rock. All your shitty comps pale in comparison to my beast!!! (ahem)

Specs as in sig.

3d mark 03 : 12,600
Aquamark : 57,000

6k exactly

a64 3200+ @ stock
1024 pc3200 2.5
9800pro @ stock

Some of you guys need to look at your systems and figure out what's wrong with them, because your scores are far too low.

Albatron KX600 pro (peice of shit mobo)
AMD Athlon XP 2500+ (Barton) @ 2.15GHz (11*195)
512mb PC2700 Legend (stock timings)
MSI Radeon 9800 pro (R360 core) @ 435/378
Crappy 40gb HDD

3dMark03 - hovers around 6,400 - 6,750
