How much memory (RAM) do you have?

If you have over 3gb, yes you will benefit. If you have less than 3gb of memory, don't bother.

You'll have more problems with 64bit XP than 32bit XP. I'd sooner consider Vista 64 over XP 64.

I've tried 64 bit XP for a couple of months and these guys are right. Either you switch to Vista 64 bit, or simply stay at 32 bit. The support for 64 bit XP is extremely poor. A majority of programs don't even properly run on it.

I'm running 64bit xp just fine. I haven't run into any compatibility problems that couldn't be resolved. I need more RAM though, only have a GB.

will games like Crysis run better on 64bit?

I've been running 64-bit vista for a couple of months and the ONLY problems I've found have been it doesn't support my nikon camera or my HP printer. I solved the printer problem by taking it back and switching it for a lexmark, but Nikon still doesn't support 64bit.
