Best and Worst Ending

Okay, well i thought i would start this thread because it would be interesting to see peoples views on your ideal ending and what you dont want to see.

Best: Final battle between G-man and Gordon (but before all that we find out alot more about him and his intentions), G-man dies but then Gordon does as well saving Alyx.

Worst: Erm not really sure probably something stupid like its all a dream that would piss me off lol.
 
Best: the Combine empire conquering the world with square mile space ships, killing most of the human population. Gordon dies alone.

Worst: Barney dies in a final battle.
 
Ending to the Half-Life series?

Best: Something that I can't even imagine that Valve will surprise us with

Worst: Some lame happy ever after thing...iunno
 
Best:

Cant say, but it will be the best ending to anything i have ever seen.

Worst:

Something incredibly cheesy and unrealistic, 'everyone lived hapily ever after' crap.
 
Best: Something interesting which would open up interesting new story possibilities in the Half Life universe while simultaneously offering closure.

Worst: Something dull like STALKER's ending.
 
Best worst endings

all those above are not nice at all for me...

best: A final battle occurs in space where the rebels finally win? or if they had half life 3, a battle between a combine synth lord and how gordon finally blows the planet, killing himself but ending combine rule

worstL The humans lose.
 
Best: Gordon Freeman (ie, the player) being able to make a final, significant choice about the fate of the world.
Worst: Final battle between G-man and Gordon (but before all that we find out alot more about him and his intentions), G-man dies but then Gordon does as well saving Alyx.
 
Worst: All of the above

Best: Gordon finds Laidlaw and kills him
 
Best: Something VALVe will suprise us with

Worst: Happily ever after, Gordon Dies.

I was going to put that in my worst too lol
 
best: Shepard returns and we cut to a meadow full of flowers, gordon and shepard hug and dream about the past and future.

Worst: Shepard doesn't return
 
Best: Gordon Freeman gets stepped on by the evil boss :angel:
 
Best: Frohman returns and helps the Combine dominate us.

Worst: The rebels win.
 
Best: Gordon meets a load of people/aliens like himself from all over the planet and the universe and realises he isnt actually THAT special.

Worst: Anything boring.

Best:

You have your back to the wall. Heavily outnumbered, you and the rebels are fighting for your lives. Recently the Xenophronic Subranitark Phonotic Bleat Ray swept through, disabling all weapons. Thus everyone must kung-fu fight. Izzy fly-kicks a combine in the ulna, then roundhouses an elite. Alyx and Mossman are slapping each other. Barney is lighting his own farts while Eli measures the resulting blue flamers. Combine are mickeyflipping everywhere without any care in the world singing "Slice of Heaven". Dog is breakdancing in the middle of the enemy force sending soldiers flying everywhere. The G-man is admiring himself in the mirror while doing his tie up again.......and again........and again. Then Kleiner fly-kicks him. Rebels and Combine are flying everywhere as they pull off ridiculous tai-jitsu moves. People are jumping on an advisor like a trampoline while it repeatedly slams Adrian Shepard into the ground using it's mind. The kung fu fighting continues until the G-man regains conciousness and stops time. He looks at you and says:
"I have a sore head"
Then he walks off to recuperate with several bottles of vodka, just before he is swallowed by a chumtoad. Time resumes and Antlions join the fray, slaughtering eveyone, except Dog, who continues breakdancing. It all peaks when all the combine lay dead and the heroes look at the battlefield after the antlions pwnz0rd everything. Dog is breakdancing, a vortiguant sneaks onto the field, steals a rebels wallet, and sprints back into the forest. It is over. Suddenly it all goes black and you are back in the tram. There is a giant chumtoad in front of you.
"My name is Frank" It says.
"I am your new boss"
"You have no idea what happened, do you?"
"Good"
"That means there's room for a sequel"
"God I'm hungry" He eats some cheese. Screen blacks out. Credits roll.

That, or the Mecha Breen. :D

Worst: something predictable
 
Best: G-Man dies in a driving accident, and Gordon is now free to help the Combine conquer Earth.

Worst: Mecha-Breen dies in a driving accident, and the Combine lose.
 
Uber Worst: The Gman Turns Out To Be A Human Agent Of A Resistance Group Against The Combine! Agrh!
 
best: one of the above best
worst:shephard comes back and falls on the gman crushing him
funniest:Gman gets hungry and uses a huge ray to turn everyone but gordon into cheese.
 
Best: Adrian Shepard breaks out of Aperture Science puts Gordon in infinite Portal hole and conquers planet with MechaBreen.
Worst: Lamarr is GMan

What do you got against Shepard and MechaBreen?
Also Shepard not returning isn't an ending.
My genuis is wasted upon the weakminded.
 
Best: After a long, epic battle (against what ever final boss) Gordon opens his mouth and tries to scream a warcry...only to realise that he is a mute.

Worst: The one I mentioned above.
 
Best: Gordon fights the combine (the alian species, not the transhuman foot soldiers) on their home world, uterly destroying them, saving the univers, and discovering all the secrets of the gman in the prossess.

Worst: anything else.
 
Worst Ending: Gorden has to fight that thing Shepard fought at the end.

That one made me rip my hair out...thank god for staplers...
