With all the virus's going around latley thats what i think your problem is. They can ****ed windows up to the point of no return and sometimes your hd also.

Restore CDs always work if it didnt here are the reason why it wouldnt.

#1 Your CD-ROM was not first in the boot process

#2. Virus preventing you from doing stuff like this

#3 CD Rom defective

Shockwave, i did all those things and it still didn't work so that's why I took it to Best buy in the first place. I ran a system recovery but I couldn't bopt fromthe recover disks cuz I didn't have them.

all retail PC's come with recovery disk these days and if by chance it was misplaced or you didnt get one all you had to do was call the maker of it and ask them, usually it only takes bout 4-5 days to get it after your call.

best buy computers all come with system restore cd's any fool can put it in and follow the on screen instructions
