What are the top co-op games for 360??

I'm looking for some new ones for my roommate and me to dominate. Currently we're playing Rainbow Six: Vegas, which is pretty sweet, but we need some fresh meat...

Test Drive: Unlimited is somewhat coop, it's good fun otherwise. GRAW 2 is a fun game too with pretty great coop

k sweet, thanks guys. i already have GoW and NFS: Carbon. crackdown huh? does anyone know any good co-op RPGs? maybe with leveling/character growth? ive heard of Kameo, but never played it- any good?

I've been considering picking up a 360 somewhere down the road (mainly for Halo 3 and the new GTA), and am a huge fan of co-op, but I have one question.

Of the games that have co-op mode(s), are they generally exclusively online co-op modes, or do most, if not all, have the option to have split-screen co-op as well? I ask this mainly because I don't really know many people with a 360, and I probably wouldn't even subscribe to Xbox Live.

I don't really like Crackdown that much. Although I didn't play it too long, I mainly got it for Halo 3.

Give it another go. Crackdown can seem a bit mindless on your own, but comes together well in co-op. It's the ultimate GTA style playground, and playgrounds are always more fun with a friend

Kameos coop is somewhat limited but still fun.

GoW is just pure awesome.

I'm bumping this old thread in the hopes of getting this answered ...are there any co-op games that allow you to play online with a second person on the same xbox live account (with a guest pass) ...so one xbox360, one xboxlive account, 2 players playing online against other players under one account, splitscreened

I'm sure there's a way to hook up to connect two 360's to a router and play over LAN? It certainly sounds possible.

You can play GoW multiplayer online on the same 360, not sure about co-op.

Co-op is just 2 players (unless you can do more which I did not know about)

Deathmatch you can definitely take 2 people on one 360 and play online against other people together though

GOW Co-op is only 2 players, so you'd either be playing that splitscreen or on Xbox Live.

Halo 3 has 4-player online/splitscreen co-op. I know that you can have at least two people on one Xbox in co-op, not sure if you can have more than that. It also supports 4-player splitscreen multiplayer too, also on Xbox Live via guest accounts (i.e. you can have three guests on your Xbox while you all play splitscreen on online custom games/matchmaking).

thanks guys ...from what I've seen there isnt a whole lot of splitscreen coop on the xbox360 ..which if I bought one, would be what i'd play most ..this online coop is good and all but I'd rather play with a friend than online

btw anyone know whether i'd be able to take my friend online in Team Fortress 2? I showed him one of the class videos a few weeks back and he said "ok when can we play" ..and he has never heard of team fortress or Half-life for that matter ..that's how good the game looks

I second Lego Star Wars being pure hilarity in coop. A friend and I were pissing ourselves laughing over it the other week... oh god, Chewie in a storm trooper helmet xD

GRAW and GRAW2 are pretty damn fun co-op. Cept' the enemy AI is rather horseshit. That's when you start messing with your friend and shoot a few rounds in his arse.

You CAN play both Advanced Warfighter games with guests online, by the way. I've actually noticed a handful of games on the system taking advantage of this, Stern. Halo 2 also does it, and I'm sure Halo 3 will as well.
