For years I've been considering leaving the US. Today it's really on my mind.

What are the best countries to live in?

(with at least a good percentage of English speaking citizens)

I was thinking The Netherlands, Amsterdam, but don't know much about it.

Madagascar. If ever a disease breaks out in the world, they shut down their borders.

Canada's pretty awesome, if you can stand snow in your winter. I just hope the Conservatives don't win the next election, I'd hate to see us turn into America 2.0.

I'm partial to Ireland, Cork especially is a great city. Seems to have most of the pros of Western culture with few of the cons. Plus no one wants to bomb you. The surrounding land is beautiful too, though it rains often.

Australia and New Zealand are the current destination for many England traitors.

I advise you not to come to England you bloody foreigner.

Zimbabwe. Because everyone is a billionaire in Zimbabwe!

Come to sweden. Most people know english. We'll own the town and get shitfaced. What do say?

Looking for more freedoms, not less.

Extreme hot and cold weather aren't OK.

Somewhere in the middle or more on the cool side is what I'm looking for. Rain doesn't matter.

It can be hot as long as there is always a breeze. Beach weather is awesome because of the ocean breeze.

I take it that it didn't go so well with the hospital thing?

Don't know yet. I applied at like 15 positions, I was not accepted at about 7 of them so far, they are still reviewing the applicants. There are still more left to apply for.

/checks email

no good news yet.

I'd move to Canada. I live in California, and am somewhat fed up about this place.

pinpoint florida and draw your finger horizontally across a world map from that location. Your bound to find something with good weather.

Canada is where it's at. It's where all the cool people are.

Plus we bag our milk **** yea!

Australia would be nice, plenty of fine ass chicks there.

I agree with this. Even though we have problems, I can honestly say I really love this country. So Sweden or if for some reason not Sweden then Norway I'd say. Just stay away from Denmark. They don't speak a proper language.

Yeah because I'm so hairy.

This thread is now about America failing : <

Leaving the U.S. has been on my mind a lot lately as well. I'm looking into going to college in Canada. That would be cool.

Holland. You get legal pot, hookers, euthanasia, and reasonably intelligent politicians.

Uhmm, due to our "reasonably intelligent politicians", legal drugs are not legal (shrooms have been banned due to incidents with tourists who also happened to be drunk out of their minds or even mentally ill. Pot has never been legal, just tolerated, but the growth of it is highly illegal, just selling it isn't, which is a special kind of retarded), legal prostitution is being repressed, euthanasia would be the first thing to go if our Christian government got the chance and the definition of "freedom" becomes narrower and narrower. The opposition isn't any better, you can either choose between conservative cockmonglers like Geert Wilders or splinter parties who can't even agree on things amongst themselves.

Our politicians are certifiably retarded. This is hardly a tolerant, progressive country any more.

I just want to move to a place where it's laid back, friendly, nice weather, you won't get a life sentence for having a bag of weed in your possession, but at the same time, I don't have to worry about my wheels being stolen while I'm sleeping.

Ca. Na. Da.

We're laid back and friendly, our weather is nice and generally a tiny bit on the cool side (with a good amount of rain if you live in southern Ontario or either coast), you won't get a life sentence for having a bag of weed on your possession (true story: I was caught with 12 grams on me and got nothing but a warning), but at the same time, you don't have to worry about your wheels being stolen while you're sleeping.

Hey weed isn't even illegal here.

Not really anyway. Shit they can do.

Let's chant!

Traitor. Get out of here, GET OUT! We don't want you.

You live in San Francisco.

I'd rather live there, a lot more hustle and bustle than a beach city. I love cities, not large suburbs dubbed "Cities,".
