Best E3 demo trailer

Which game did you think had the best E3 demo/video (I'm not saying best game, just best E3)?

For me, it's definitely Halo 2, the E3 vid was absolutely spectacular I wouldn't be exaggerating if I said it's better than some movies I've seen :), it's a real pity the actual game wasn't as nice.
 
i would say halo 2 aswell, i was amazed by the demo, shame about the final game though....
 
Duke Nukem Forever or Half-Life 2. (I saw the Halo 2 trailer after i saw the Half-Life 2 one :( )

See, that's the thing. I could never put Halo 2 on my list - even though the trailer was fantastic - because the final product was no where near like what they showed.
Yes, VALVe showed some stuff that never made it into the final game, but at least the quality of the game was on par with the trailers.
So I'd have to go with Half-Life 2.....and FEAR. FEAR was so cool the first time I saw it (still is).

Shit yeah i forgot about F.E.A.R. That one is definately up there with HL2 and DNF
 
The original Zelda trailer for GameCube. Actually...it wasn't E3. It was Spaceworld 2001 (a Nintendo only show, held in Japan. Since discontinued) So, I'd say the trailer for the new Zelda shown at E3 last year. It was immense.

Was the 2004 Halo 2 trailer the one where the rocket launcher follows the warthog and shows off the multi-player map? I can honestly say that didn't impress me at all. I can't understand why it impressed so many people. Or was there another trailer?

Aye, It didn't impress...It looked fun as hell, imo.
 
For me, half-life2. Cream in pants.

I was watching a halo2 shaky cam video and when he pulls out the dual guns everybody cheered? Dual guns? Hooray? I didn't get it, but those guys were incredibly impressed by the dual guns...i didn't understand why. Two guns? WOW :| :)
 
metal gear solid 2 trailer-e3 2001, the 1st trailer for mgs2, blew me away when i saw it.
metal gear solid 3 trailer e3 2004

their the only 1s i really know from e3 as i only got broadband last summer tbh so i only saw e3 trailers in ps2 mags,just got back to pc gaming last year the bits i saw from hl2 looked awesome too, the fear trailer aswell was excellent
 
Half-life 2 kicked ass.

Maybe Max Payne before that one.

The G-Man trailer.

Just because I sat up and paid attention to a game video for once.

The idea that in game characters could us emotion just felt like a good idea.

Personally, I have to agree, the Metal Gear Solid trailers have always been the most cinematic gaming trailers, and what they show is delivered, in spades, and personally i thought it couldn;t get much better than the MGS2 trailer, but MGS3s trailer came out and matched it, if not slightly beating it

yeah, i only saw the first mgs2 e3 trailer a while after e3, mostly just saw screenshots and read about it in mags but once i saw it :O ,

the 1st mgs3 trailer was great too, the whole jungle setting etc being revealed, im sure mgs4's first e3 trailer will have the same effect.

The best E3 trailers, by far. The Zelda one was great, and made me all giddy inside, but it wasn't as monumental as I had hoped.
 
Halflife 2 for sure! also halo2s single player demo was extrodinary to say the least... too bad the final game wasn't like that... at all...

there was one e3 trailer in particular that was one of the BEST put together trailers i have ever seen in my life for a game but i can't remember what it was...it'll come to me
 
Metal Gear solid 2, It was the best trailer ever!
The anticipation was huge!, nobody new how the game would look like in the
not so long released Playtation 2, The crowd went crazy! It was awarded best game of that e3 even when it wasnt a playable version, amazing!

I am talking about the trailer, the game itself is another story...

Halo 2 (2003 of Mombasa - the cool level that doesn't exist :( - not the mp demo, that made me less excited for Halo 2)
HL2's was cool because the physics were amazing at the time.

AFAIK, it's not the original showing (the original was at the nvidia release party thingy for the 6800) but it was shown again at E3 2004. (actually more stuff, check out the vids, I have em all)
