mine's the one at the very end of ratchet and clank 2:
"this could take WEEKS of research"
"ummm...the battery's in backwards"

Just because Valve keeps you in control and in first-person doesn't mean there aren't cut scenes.

I'd have to say the introduction to Final Fantasy 7 was pretty epic. First game I remember seeing that went from FMV to game content with a relatively small amount to tell you that it switched.

Almost all of Westwood's traditional dodgy FMVs are gold. Especially the RA2 opening, and the Yuri's Revenge Allied campaign opening.

It's a shame the game wasn't nearly as good as it could have been. I guess it's a trend with recent RPGs.

theres loads i like, one series that sprang to mind was Silent Hill.

this scene from sh3 i thought was awesome when i first saw it, mostly as it was on ps2 and i though the graphics(in game engine) and facial animations were very impressive for that tech.
