im looking to buy a gaming notebook. i might wait for dx 10 cards for notebooks, but if it doesn come out by August, ill get a good dx 9 card. what companies should i buy from? here is the list of companies i have in mind

xtreme gear - great value

ibuypower

cyberpower pc

i want a core 2 duo cpu (5600 or higher) and at least 2 GB of Ram. HDD of 80 gb or more, must have built in wireless

I don't like the looks of those websites and some reviews around the internet give them bad scores, but I would recommend either the Asus A8Js/p. They both have VGA and DVI out, graphics cards, built-in wireless, and 120GB hard drives. They only have 1GB of RAM, but I think it might be 1x1GB, I'm not sure.

FYI- the only difference between the two is the graphics card, the p has an X1700 (an X1600 with media enhancements), and the s has a 7700 (which is a 7600 with 12 pipelines instead of 8). That's why the s is more expensive.

If you don't like those laptops, then here's a mid-end laptop graphics summary so you aren't confused: Nv 7700 > Ati X1700 > X1600 = 7600 > X1400 > 7400
