1998 was a pretty awesome year for pc gaming. Baldur's Gate, Half-life and Grim Fandango

Starcraft. System Shock 2.

I'm pretty sure SS2 was 1999. I'd completely forgotten about Starcraft, though.

Baldur's Gate II, Icewind Dale, Diablo II, The Longest Journey, The Sims(even though I hate it but it brought many non-gamers into the scene)...
