the manipulator secondary fire launches sonic waves PWNZER!

emagine waltzing into a room of combine knocking them all over a ledge (not steep enough to kill them) whatch them realisitcly fall and then laying waste to then with a crowbar! pWn!

(stole idea from some guy who thought a sonic wave gun would be cool)

holding it down could charge it, and it would get stronger as the manip recieves upgrades

i think it may have been me who mentioned a gun like that but its such a good idea i doubt i'm the only one who thought of it, someone may have said it before me.

well since gabe officially said the manipulator wont affect living creatures, i doubt it will have this as its alternate firing mode.
 
if it doesent effect liveing creatures.. then why exactly did he use it to hurl a radiator at a combine at 343430948 miles an hour

.. I think he meant picking them up
 
i think technically the radiator affected the creature not the manipulator
 
Sounds very Jedi Knight. Maybe this would be a good idea since it's been said that the manipulator 'upgrades' sometimes. I think it'll start as just the tech demo one, shifting objects, then upgrade to the one that flings stuff, after that this might be a good idea for another upgrade :) Besides by that time you'll have better weapons to use no doubt.
 
Wraith, he actually said they're trying to decide whether or not the manipulator will be able to effect creatures under a certain weight limit or not.
At the time he said it, I believe he said that in the current build it was possible to hurl headcrabs at things with the manipulator but they may decide to remove that ability due to design reasons.

So what is the best idea ever?? I would imagine one of the best ideas would be to apply to be a product tester for Trojan Condoms....... Or someone who works in a Victoria's Secret store(if you're a guy)

First of all it was just an idea I put up in the weapons thread, yes I'm that "guy" lol :) second, we all know the weapons are already modeled and ingame so don't waste your breath, you should give the idea to a modeler or a modder instead :p
