50 maps? Wow.....but now that i think of them all I guess that does make sense, I guess just never realized how many there really where.
Do you think dustbowl or mountain lab would have at least made it into the top 10?

Dustbowl, no. Mountain Lab, however, is a weird hybrid which was made by both the Valve (layout) and the community (aesthetics). We might touch on it in the Community Maps episode, but you'll just have to wait and see.

Fifty maps, and I've only played about eight of them. Am I the only one who finds it annoying that the community will find a fun map and play it to the point of exhaustion?

That can be annoying. However, I would say there's only a small handful of official maps that aren't in played circulation at the moment. Off the top of my head, I can think of Hydro, Fastlane, Junction, and maybe some of the more obscure Arena-only maps such as Offblast, Ravine, and Watchtower (all of which are used more for prop hunt and the Saxton Hale mod than their intended gamemode).

That said, I know servers will still exist where you could play those maps, you just have to look harder than if you were looking for Dustbowl, 2fort, or Upward.

Yes, when 2_fort is played traditionally it is one of my favorite multiplayer game boards and modes of all time. It will always be the first thing i think of when I think of Team Fortress, and Team Fortress is sort of the foundation for online fps. I fell in love with it when tf was strictly a ctf mod for quake.

It is also a cluster**** compared to most maps.
