Coldplay - Clocks, Muse - Sunburn or Muse - Bliss have always been amazing openers for me.

Off the top of my head right this second... fupp, I just forgot it. Hurm. ''Act I: Chasing Suns'' by The Sound of Animals Fighting. There we go. That isn't actually track one, it just has such a intense build up at the start that never fails to make me smilel

You should all know what band I'll be posting.. All of Rush's songs have kickass openings, but this certain version of 'Closer to the Heart' from their 'A Show of Hands' live DVD is one of their best. Doesn't just have an awesome opening, but a sweet ass ending, too.

Sorry I couldn't get you Alex Lifeson himself playing the song 'Broons Bane', but they cut it out of the 'Exit.. Stage Left' live DVD.. So this guy is really good, he does a cover of it, and then the intro to 'The Trees' (the way it originally was on the live DVD).

The reason it's such a good intro because Lifeson made up the song especially for the performance when they filmed 'Exit.. Stage Left', and I don't think he's played it live since.. Which is a shame because it's such a good intro to the song (made the intro AFTER he made and released the song :p)


OH YEA! There's also this song, one of my favorites, tbh. Rush always has odd introductions to some of their songs (sometimes funny sometimes just ****ing cool with explosions and lasers and shit ('Driven' from Rush in Rio for explosions 'Dreamline' for the lasers). Anyways, check this out.. lol
