Best Video Game Character!

Cloud Strife from FFVII

Zidane from FFIX

Alyx from HL2

Rikku from FFX

Thrall from Warcraft III

Etna from Disgaea

Ocelot from MGS3

Revan from KOTOR

Terra Branford (Final Fantasy 6)
Ramza Beovulve (Final Fantasy Tactics)
SHODAN (System Shock)
G-Man (Half-Life)
JC Denton (Deus Ex)

I really like characters that are AIs, as long as they are done well. Like Daedalus, Icarus, and Helios from Deus Ex, and especially Shodan (System Shock series).

I want to say Leon from RE4, because his dialogue is so bad it's fantastic. However, Samon would probably ban me on principle, so forget that.

Actually, I hate to sound like the stereotypical fanboy, but I think in terms of human-ness and believability, HL2 takes the cake. All the characters are superb.

I lol'd so hard.

Gordon Freeman - That crowbar is so magical, thinking in buying one...
Samus Aran - Metroid
Link - Generic Zelda Games
Republic Commando clones - they kick major ass
Mario and Luigi

P.S. You know you have a problem with half-life when you want to buy a crowbar or having one being part of your life goals.

Sorry, fellows. But Duke Nukem is the most badass character in history.

As far as KOTOR is concerned, the best characters are Atton, Brianna and Darth Sion. All are great and developed, and Sion... he's as tragic and as deadly as they come.

I quite like Ocelot from the Metal Gear series.

Would like to see more of him between MGS3 and MGS1 I think. But only if it's done well. Which unfortunately I don't see happening.

Horned Reaper anyone? I just love how he gets pissed of for nothing and starts killing the lil cute imps while they run around in fear while i ruthlessly slap them

Dungeon Keeper 1 is the game btw

The Commander- Total Annihilation

Nothing cooler than the D-gun
hah, so forgot about him, good call !
Guybrush Threepwood!

I quite like Ocelot from the Metal Gear series.

How the hell did I forget Ocelot?! In MGS2, when you first see him, casually walking around behind Metal Gear, then later on it's just BAMBAMBAM and he drops like 6 guys all around him. Plus the cloak shot, and the typical dramatic slow-mo camera pan on his face when he does it. I just grinned all the way through it, thinking ''YES! YES, WIN!''

...ahem.

Come to think of it, I enjoyed pretty much all of the MGS bosses and characters. Liquid mainly, but I thought Vulcan Raven was cool, and I felt bad when I killed him at the end.

In no particular order:

Louisa "Buzz" Garneu - Jagged Alliance series
most of the rest of the AIM, MERC and RPC mercenaries in JA2/UB
Greg "Spooky" Block - Jagged Alliance 2: Unfinished Business: SOG '69
Glottis - Grim Fandango
Kane - Command & Conquer series - I didnt see him mentioned once. You people disapoint me.
Sarah Kerrigan - StarCraft series
Grom Hellscream - WarCraft series
Kyle Katarn - Dark Forces/Jedi Knight series
Tanya Adams - Command & Conquer: Red Alert
Special Agent Tanya - Command & Conquer: Red Alert 2
The Blood Reavers team - Unreal Tournament
Lt. Zofia - Command & Conquer: Red Alert 2

Yeah Vulcan Raven was a pretty awsome boss, however I found it completely ludicrus when fighting him in the tank, and I dont ee how dropping frag grenades on top of the hull will destroy a tank but its Solid Snake so really anything is possible...

The dude from Metal Slug. He's so badass. Kill a few dozen nazis (they are nazis, right?), rescue a few dozen hostages, then hop in a tank and kill a giant... robotic... mutant... alien fish beast...... horde. Then you give him a moment to rest and he just pops in a new clip and takes a sip of water.
